attempting to play in the snow

Last Monday I had a brilliant idea to take Jackson out in the snow. “He would love it!” “Come on J, lets get you bundled up.” He screamed while I tried to stuff him into his snow suit, but I knew he would love the snow so I kept reassuring him that he would forgive me once we got outside. The three of us went out to the backyard to play in the snow. Well, J didn’t forgive me, he hated it! Fail.

I promise there was snow

Moving onto this weekend, Saturday I had time for a 4 mile run before a crazy day of fun. A couple of my girlfriends and I threw a baby shower for our pregnant friend Brittany. She’s finally having a baby boy after 2 girls. We’re so excited for her!

She insisted on sitting on the floor. Don’t fight with a pregnant woman

The food was delish=)

Later in the afternoon I helped set up, organize, and get the food ready for our ward Christmas party. It was a success, but I was too busy eating the delicious food and socializing to take a pic. Oops.

Sunday was a rest day. The boys and I took full advantage of the empty schedule and did absolutely nothing after church. Oh except almost burning the chicken and consequently burning myself trying to get it out quickly. It hurt!

Today I did another 4 miler and did a killer Nike workout. I could only finish half of it and my arms and legs were jello! (Nike Training Club free app)The rest of the day has been filled with Monday chores and errands. J is napping and I’m going to read “Life Without Limits by Chrissie Wellington. I finished Pam Reeds book. I’ll talk more about that later. Ta ta for now!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Oh no! Sad that Jackson hated the snow so much. Lacey didn’t love being IN the snow, but she loved walking around outside. Funny picture, though! haha!
