The Day After Christmas Coma

Christmas Eve was a blast. We had a program with my family and J volunteered to play the piano for us. Seriously, he was loving it and would stop and clap for himself. he’s a hoot.

After my families festivities we headed to Josh’s parents to sleep over. We read the night before Christmas and passed presents with every “the” and ended with a devotional.

Christmas with kids is so stinking fun. We spent the first half hour watching these little guys open their presents with such excitement.

Later on we headed to my sisters for dinner. J loved snugglin with Grandma Coco. Unfortunately, lots of people were feeling sick and so we left pretty early. I feel like every family I talked to this Christmas was plagued with some kind of sickness, so lame!

Today’s Happenings

We all slept in until 8 and then I started to organize, clean, take down Christmas and give our house some TLC that it needed. Once J went down for his nap I jumped on the treadmill and did a 3 miler followed by some weights I have also been neglecting. My arms are feeling it!

I quickly got ready because my friend Alyse said she could squeeze me in this afternoon for a cut and highlight. After all this is the blonde hair blue eyed runner, and lately I’ve been looking pretty brunette.(see above picture)

We had one more Scott party tonight, but the hubs wasn’t feeling well so we headed out early from there too, no pics either. Except of J at Walmart. We were out of the essentials and J was done, so he made him self comfy.

Now we’re about to eat some yummy snacks(cuz we haven’t had enough sugar already) and watch Modern Family, I love this show, but not as much as Parks and Rec.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Looks like a lovely holiday! Watching my three year old niece and four year old nephew open their gifts was definitely a highlight for me this year.
