date night and 30 miles

Workout

Saturday- 5 miles

Friday night date night with the hubs was a success. Luckily, I didnt have to think too hard on what we would do. My SIL and BIL Whitney and Josh, got the hubs and I movie tickets and candy for Christmas.

I can’t remember the last date night that we didn’t have J with us, so it was really nice. We saw Skyfall, I really liked it. hardly any cussing, just the way I like it. We ended up all hanging out at Josh’s parents after making it a good Friday night. Thanks again Whit for babysitting=)

At the beginning of the week I set 3 goals for myself. Today is the day to see if I can check them off or not.

1. Plan a date night for me and the hubs. Check. (see above)

2. Run 30 miles.Check. I am so proud of myself for sticking to my goal. Overall, my feet feel a bit worn, but nothing painful. I definitely want to keep uping my mileage and see what I’m capable of.

30 miles! don't be jealous of my 3-0 skills. . .

3. Attempt to take J out in the snow again. Fail. I tried one day this week. I went outside and wanted to die so I didn’t even bring J out. I did however have some fun play dates with him. So even though he didn’t get to play outside, I think he had a good week.

Did you go on a date this weekend?

How many miles were you able to run? Did it feel hard or easy?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

    The kids are adoooooorable..so lovely!

    Also, great running week!!

  2. Seriously why is it so cold here lately? I keep trying to take my little guy out in the snow but it feels cruel to even keep him out a few minutes. Are you running outside in these temps? I can’t do it.
