Friday night we headed down to Whitney and Josh’s for the most delicious brisket dinner I have ever eaten. Seriously, they did a great job! The boys always have fun playing.

Saturday the hubs and I finished things around the house, laundry, mopping, installing new light fixtures, etc. That morning I had a meeting at church, and they provided breakfast. Score!

That night we headed to Rumbi. I love this restaurant, there food is so good. Josh got the blackened salmon and I got the Aloha Chicken Salad(what I always get), I love the mangoes in it! Then we watched a movie,The Amazing Spiderman, with some yummy treats.

I love weekends that are full of fun and family time. I’m so grateful that we live in UT close to family(and soon even more family, ahem, mom=))

Did you see family this weekend?

Is there a restaurant that you always go to and get the same thing?

What treat do you like to eat while watching movies?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Brrr – stay warm! We have the same weather here in MN too so I feel your pain! We saw both sets of Grandparents this weekend which is always nice!

  2. Sounds like a great weekend! The aloha chicken salad sounds delicious. I love fruit in salads, it kicks it up in the flavor department. My bf and I always go to an Italian grill that is close by and while he usually gets the same thing, I tend to switch it up a lot. 🙂
