fun times with my fam + progression run


Wednesday-7 miles progression run

Looked like this:

2 mile warmup @ 9:40pace, 2 miles @ 9:22 pace, 2 miles @ 9:05 pace, .5 mile cool down @ 9:22, .5 mile cool down @ 9:40 pace

Most of my treadmill runs are progression runs due to boredom. One of my favorite ways to beat treadmill boredom is to play around with the speed. Today’s run was more planned than my usual “Okay I’m bored I’m gonna up my speed” runs.   J is normally napping when I run, but he slept in today(which means I did too) so he joined me. I didn’t hold true to my goal I set, and let him watch toons. I mean, look at him, he’s hooked! At least they were teaching him counting. . .


Do you consciously do progression runs? What was your run today?

Today I also got to go out to lunch with my sisters and mom. Can you guess where we went? Kneaders of course!! I got the Chicken Berry Salad. It has the most delicious candied walnuts in it too=)

Anytime my sisters travel to my house they have to stop at Tai Pan, it has the best home decor! J was spoiled by aunt Leah and got a sucker. Happy boy, happy shopping.

  1. i get bored on the treadmill too so I tend to do progression type ones. However, I only run on that thing if I absolutely have to. I get so bored!

    I love reading your blog! It seriously has kept me motivated with running on my new treadmill. I’ve been doing 3 miles everyday, and on Sunday did 4 miles. My goal is to up it a mile every Sunday, so this Sunday I am going to try for 5. Hopefully I can get up to where you are where 7 miles is nothing!

  3. My mom and I love going to the grocery store together (I think because I’m veg and the fam’s not, so she has fun picking out new things when I’m visiting) and we also love going to HomeGoods. The closest HomeGoods to me in Florida is an hour away and I’m so so sad!!!!

  4. Yumm at that salad! I too get bored on the ‘mill so I try and do speedy intervals while listening to music!!

  6. Great run! I accidentally did a progression run today… But only 3 miles!

  7. I like to play around with the speed on the treadmill too, but I don’t usually do specific progression runs. Love candied walnuts – yum. This week is flying by but that’s probably because we are on vacation – and life seems to go faster then!
