3 year Anniversary
Happy Anniversary Josh! Josh and I were married 3 years ago in Salt Lake City, UT. It was President’s day weekend so we had an extra day off from school. We took the chance to be married then instead of waiting until we were out of school in April. It wasn’t snowing when we got married, but it had snowed and so the grounds around the Salt Lake LDS temple were beautiful and white(and freezing!)
Thanks to family and friends our day was so special and absolutely perfect.
Last year we spent a weekend in Park City, UT with J who was 6 months old.
This past year was a lot of fun. We have been adjusting to life with our little guy(that’s not so little anymore). A couple of fun highlights of this past year:
Camping in Zion’s National Park
Spending a weekend at Josh’s family’s cabin with my family and his.
Supporting me during my first half marathon. Watching J during my training runs and being at the finish line.
Going to the Bee’s baseball game for a family night.
Week of weddings when my brother Jordan and my sister Bree got married a week a part from each other in WA state.
Lake Powell with Josh’s immediate family and cousins, first time with J.
Summer days at the water park. J and I got to go a lot during the summer, but it was special when dad got to come too=)
When we remodeled part our house. We didn’t have any railings for about a week and no carpet with exposed nails. It’s hard to live in a torn up house with a curious lil J. I’m glad I had Josh to take us out at night and keep the mood positive.
San Francisco was not the vacation we wanted, but I’m glad I went through it with Josh. I don’t think any other guy that was sick would still tour San Francisco just so his wife could see the sites.
My Grandma Laura May past away in December, and I left J with Josh for 4 days. I have never left Jackson for more than a few hours. I didn’t have to worry at all because Josh is such a great dad. I’m grateful to have a husband who knows his son’s routine and volunteered to watch him so I could help with the funeral and be with my family as much as possible.
We’ve been through a lot this year, and although this post only shares some of our highlights we definitely had some unexpected turns. I’m so glad that I get to go through this journey with Josh, I’m grateful that we made it through the unexpected turns and that he is patient with me. Here’s to many more years=)
