Jump on it

Saturday- yet another rest day=(

I’m feeling so much better, but I don’t want to risk it. Instead, my workout is in the form of cleaning, vacuuming, and sanitizing our home =)

Yesterday I decided to drive south to hangout with my SIL Whitney. Her neighborhood play group was going to a trampoline/foam pit gym.  J and his cousin C had so much fun!

That night we ate dinner at Josh’s parents. We hadn’t seen Grandpa in awhile since he travels for work. J had to show him Buzz(from Toy Story) that he is currently obsessed with, of course the dinosaurs, and made him read all his favorite books. They’re too cute!

I’ve been looking at some races for this year, and I’m just about ready to sign up for a few, so stay tuned!

What races are you running this year?

What were you obsessed with as a child? I loved my bitty baby doll, I took her everywhere! (and still have her, hopefully I have a girl to pass it on to).

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I had a wind-up stuffed Snoopy that I took with me everywhere and still have, too. 🙂 My son, Gabe, still sleeps with his Santa stuffed animal every night. He has been since he was about 2. He’s 11 now. That thing will not be passed along to anyone! 🙂
I think I’ll sign up for races this weekend. I’m ready to make a commitment!

  2. I hope you are able to work out again soon, I know how frustrating that can be! But it is definitely so important to take the time to rest, so I am glad you are!!

  3. Glad you are taking the rest when you need it – it can be super hard, I know! I had a stress fracture a few years ago and that was super tough.

that gym looks like so much fun!
I am only signed up for the NYC marathon so far, but I have a couple others that I am planning to sign up for as well 🙂

  5. I ran my first half marathon yesterday! My pace was 2 minutes slower than what I trained at, but there were so many people and so many photo opportunities (it was the Disney Princess Half), that it was inevitable. I’m hoping to run the Space Coast half marathon in December and then the Disney Princess Half again next year! I was obsessed with this Ariel doll that I had. I dragged her around the house until she was bald… I’m still obsessed with Ariel though now.
