Fun Friday Facts 5.0

Happy March!!!! I am so excited for the new month. February was lovely, but I’m looking forward to a warmer month.

Workout

Friday- 5 miles, slow (9:48 pace)

I’m hoping to get a great long run in tomorrow since the weather here in UT has been so nice. Today I used my run as a shake out to make sure I feel good enough for tomorrow.

Fun Friday Facts

1. I mention on my “About Me” page that I cheered in high school. I was a flyer and only got hurt one time. I fell when I was up in a stunt and landed on my face chipping one of my molars. My team was also competitive meaning we competed against other cheer teams. We won several competitions and went to state where we placed 3rd.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

miss college girlfriends too. we are scattered ALL over the country unfortunately. and YAY for march!!! couldn’t be more excited for it. my sister is coming from portland next week and some great outdoor runs in my future i hope. i played basketball and did track in high school. i am not aggressive or very competitive so i was in it for fun. my coaches did not like that so i quit after 2 years.

    • I’ve always been really competitive, but I was horrible at basketball. I was always too scared to run track, but now I really wish I had!

it’s funny b/c i was scared to run track too. i did the long jump and triple jump. we ran a some but nowhere near the amount of running the “runners” did. i wish i hadn’t given it up. oh well.

  5. That dress is amazing! So fun to hear about your background as a cheerleader!

  6. I played volleyball in high school until I dislocated my kneecap and then got cut from the team (womp womp). I’m super excited for March! Friends and family are planning visits, I just started spring break from Grad School, I’ll be chaperoning a few field trips for my high schoolers to various colleges, and I’m hoping to get some sunshine!

  7. CUTE! always wanted to be a cheerleader, but my coordination is total crap.

    Great wedding dress.

SO ready for March. Spring, and some other stuff planned. Really looking forward to it.

Have a great run this weekend!

  8. The back of your wedding dress is so beautiful. . . now you have to share more pics so we can see the whole thing! I swam in high school and college and did a little bit of track too.

I was a gymnast until I got injured at 16, then I joined my high school’s diving team. Ended up getting a full ride diving scholarship to college! Hope you have a great Monday!
