A day in the sun

Monday(yesterday)- 5 miles + arm workout

A couple of weeks ago my left leg(towards my hip) was sore. I took days off or cross trained on the bike. Last week I felt fine, but again during yesterday’s run I felt it again. I’ve put just about 550 miles on my current shoes and I usually put about 500 before I get a new pair. Other than that, I’m not sure why it hurts. Since I’m racing next weekend I’m going to take it easy this week so it can heal.

Yesterday was one of those days

Not everything went well, but I just felt like it was a really good day. For instance, I went through the entire line at the grocery store, had all my items bagged and realized I didn’t have my debit card. Still can’t find it anywhere, drove home, searched the house, nowhere=( My day got better though.

I’m sure it had to do with the wonderful weather. After our dinner J brought Josh his shoes and wanted to go outside. We had Hawaiian Haystacks for din din(is this just a UT thing?)

We all went out and enjoyed a little vitamin d.

Josh took his bike out for a spin for the first time this season and J loved watching him.

He also loved finding the rocks=)

Later that night my cousin McKae came over. I always have fun with my cousins and I’m so glad she came over, we had some great talks!

Ever lose your debit/credit card?

How many miles do you usually put on your shoes?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

    Such a cute little boy!!!!
And I’ve never lost mine before but I can imagine it being very frustrating!

  2. Ohmygosh yes I have lost my debit card! Definitely know how frustrating that is!!

I want to try the Hawaiian Haystack! Never heard of that before but it looks yummy!

Hope your leg feels better soon…rest and recover and get ready for your race!!

  3. I usually do about 450 or 500… Between soreness and blisters, my body does a good job of telling me when it’s time to switch to a new pair. Just be sure to break them in before a new race! At least thirty miles or so. Learned that the hard way.

  4. I hope you find your debit card!!! I’ve lost mine temporarily but always end up finding it. But for those few minutes of sheer panic..let’s just say they’ve taken years off my life!

  5. I hate those scatter brain days. I have 2 purses that I use and I’m always forgetting to swap out my things to my other purse. Hope you find your card!

I have never lost a debit card, but I would definitely FREAK OUT! haha. I don’t keep track of the mileage on my shoes (I really should though…) but I keep track of the time since I bought/used them.

I have no idea what a Hawaiian haystack is lol but I would die if I had that view from my house. Those mountains are gorgeous.

  8. Haven’t lost my debit card, but on Saturday I had a total brain fart and forgot my PIN number so i got locked out of the ATM and had to go reset my PIN yesterday at the bank. I usually put way too many miles on my shoes… I probably couldn’t even count them. Too many. But, I just got new shoes a few weeks ago and probably haven’t even put 100 on them yet because I got them 2 weeks before the half and haven’t been running crazy distances yet, but I will soon!

  9. I have left my debit card at a restaurant before – it is SO frustrating!! I am happy to hear that your day got better 🙂
