Suit and Tie

Saturday-4.25 miles

My run on Saturday was the worst run of my life. Okay, a bit dramatic, but not really. Every lap was horrible and I wanted to stop from start to finish. In fact, my plan was 8 miles and I made it 4.25. I’m glad I ran, but I’m ready for today’s (Monday) run. I mean it can only get better from absolutely horrible right? right.

Weekend Recap

Friday we had a date night all to ourselves. We left J with Grandpa and we headed to dinner. It wasn’t too long, but it was great to enjoy my meal and not have to entertain J at the same time. We headed home and watched Life of Pi. Anyone else watch it??

Saturday after my ‘awesome’ run  we headed to Josh’s parents. Grandpa watched J again with his cousin C while the girls had a girls day at a local “What A Woman Wants” expo. It was a lot of fun. Then we met up with the guys again and enjoyed lunch at Zuppa’s. So stinkin’ good!

In case that wasn’t enough food, the hubs and I went out with my good friend Amanda and her husband to our favorite Chinese restaurant. We shared the Pineapple fried rice with shrimp served in a pineapple!

Sunday we headed to church and had a really chill day at home. J wore his suit and bow tie=)

How was your weekend, any good eats?

Any horrible running stories lately(come on, try and make feel a bit better…) or awesome ones?

Who watched Boston this morning?  So excited for my neighbor who got to run it!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I loved Life of Pi!! I just watched it a little bit ago too. 🙂 You are NOT alone on your horrible run! I tried to do 6 on Wednesday last week and made it to 4. I felt like crap and was furious with myself. But, when I set out to do it again, I did much better. Hope your run today is successful! ❤
