Monday- 3 recovery miles + Arm and core workout + stretching
I took it slow today and just wanted to get warmed up. I love stretching and foam rolling after my first workout after a hard race.
In the race packet I received 2 free passes to the Tulip Festival(being held at the same location as the race) and my friend gave me her passes too. My mom, Josh, J and I headed over straight from the race. I changed into dry clothes, snagged some bagels, chips, oranges, and cookies and we were off!
It was so beautiful! I loved having my mom at the race and it was fun to walk through the tulips with her. There were some fun activities for J too.
And for us. . .
I was still hungry after scarfing all the post race food, so we took my mom to one of our favorite sub places called Firehouse Subs.
I really just wanted that pickle spear! Anyone else crave salt after running??
It was such a fun day. Family is where it’s at=) I hope I can convince my dad to come to one of my races(hint hint, dad)
What do you crave after you run? Sweet, salt, nothing?
Do you think walking around after a long run aids in your recovery? I totally think its helps!
