Sunday of course started with church with my boys. I got to teach a lesson at church today, I love being able to work with the youth, they are so smart and have so much insight. I’m pretty lucky.
The rest of the day was spent with my family. My mom actually has to leaves us on Tuesday even though we tried to convince her to stay. We decided to throw her a Mother’s Day party since she’s here and then we don’t have to mail our presents to her.
We didn’t forget it was Cinco De Mayo and we celebrated with mango salsa cilantro salmon, southwest salad, chips, rolls, potato salad, rice and of course we had some chocolate for dessert.
I’ve been blessed with a wonderful mother. One that waited up for me every. single. night. when I was growing up. She let me make mistakes, but was there with her shoulder for me to cry on when I realized I was wrong. I hope to someday be half as amazing as she is. Happy early Mother’s Day mom!!
Any fun Mother’s Day plans?
How was Cinco De Mayo for those who celebrated?
