Let’s begin where we left off, oh yes, Saturday. Saturday I got to meet up with these pretty ladies. Seriously, I love making friends through blogging, I’m not sure I know how to do it any other way. . .
That night, I went to an event with the hubs. He owns a DJ business called All Star Events. It was a surprise party for a lady turning 50! It got pretty crazy. . . for UT anyway=)
Grandma watched J and my SIL sent me this pic. I always know he’s having a good time at Grandma’s house. Not to mention we got back at 10 pm, J was still awake and eating ice cream with Grandpa. Let’s just say, he didn’t want to go home.
Mother’s day we went to my in-laws after church for dinner. My FIL always makes Mother’s day dinner and he never disappoints.
I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful mother. It was fun to celebrate her last week and celebrate my MIL this week. I feel like I won the MIL jackpot. We can always talk, hang out, and laugh together. I love her so much! Seriously, my heart swells when I think about how great my mom and MIL are.

Planting raspberries is awesome! J is such a good little helper! I’m going to try planting strawberries 🙂 I’m working on drinking more water currently too. I dug out a water bottle to take with me to work today.
Oh I would love to have strawberries! we live so close to the mountain, the deer will eat the strawberries=( Nice work, I hope you can help me stay motivated with hydrating too!!
I carry my water bottle with me everywhere- that definitely helps so that when I’m bored, I take a few sips!!
That’s a great idea, I really need to just be better at grabbing my water bottle and bringing it with me!
Sometimes I feel like I drink too much water!! I’m always thirsty! And we just planted a bunch of stuff too!
I was always so thirsty when I was nursing, but now not so much. I think it’s better to drink too much than not enough lol
That is the cutest picture of you guys planting raspberries! I’m jealous, those things are good but they are pricey and therefore a splurge purchase! Good job with your tempo runs last week, I need to work on that this week too! I’m working on breaking 24 minutes in a 5K (race this weekend) and I have a feeling I’ll either just make it or miss it by about 10-15 seconds. We’ll see. 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day to you, lady!
Thanks, I need to do more tempo runs this week, but I take it one day at a time. That would be an amazing PR, you can totally do it!!! The Raspberry bushes were only $10 a bush, but buying a carton of fresh raspberries is soooo expensive!
Drinking more water is a daily goal of mine. I have been doing a lot better with it now that I carry a water bottle around with me CONSTANTLY!
I need to be better at that. Today I’m doing great, thanks for the tip=)
So cool you got to hang out with Janae! I love raspberries but they’re so expensive right now that I can’t justify buying them so I stick with strawberries and whatever else is cheap/in season. I’m not training for a race but I do want to get faster/stronger before September because I’m running a 5k that has awesome medals and I want to place 😉 That means that I need to get more consistent in my pace and maybe knock a few seconds off of my fastest time!
Ya Janae is so sweet! Too bad I don’t get to see her more often now that she moved to Cali. You can totally do it. September gives you plenty of time to knock some time off!

I’m training for a crazy trail race in Leadville- training is going ok, but I feel like I’m not going to be ready for this one no matter what i do!
Oh that would be so fun! I really need to do a trail race, I’ve heard they’re so fun! You will totally be ready, you’ve been rocking your runs!
