Friday- 3.4 miles outside
I met up with my early morning running group. There were 3 of us today and the girls rocked it. I love when people get excited about running like I do.
I also tried my new Brook Pure Flow 2’s for our short run. I’m not ready to do a full review since I only ran 3 miles. I can tell they’re definitely different than my Nike’s so we’ll see=)
Speaking of new running shoes that are not Nike’s. This brings me to a big decision to make. Ever since I started getting into running and racing I’ve had the Nike + sport band. I love it. It’s simple, tells me my pace, mile, time, calories burned, and time elapsed.
In order to use it, you have to have a Nike shoe that has a spot to insert the Nike + chip. If I keep the sport band, the other option is ordering a little pouch to attach to a non Nike shoe for $10.
Or. . .
My other options are ordering a Garmin or Nike Sportswatch. That way I could wear whatever shoe I wanted and still be able to track my miles, pace, time, etc for about $150-$200. I’m not looking to buy right away, I want to do some research and hear what you have to say.
So, I need your help. If you wear a running watch, what kind do you wear? What do you like or dislike about it?
Anyone run with a Nike Sport band and just use a pouch for a non Nike shoe?
