Sunday-rest

Friday J and I headed to the pool with my SIL Alisha. We got there super early thinking it would be packed. To our surprise, we were the only ones there! J was pulling all the flowers off the bushes and bringing them to Alisha, too bad little one, she’s your aunt!

photo(619)That night Josh took J to a Father and Son’s camp out. It was the first time they went camping without me. They had a great time with Papa, Uncle Josh, and cousin C.  It melted my heart, they’re already doing ‘guy things’ together=)

I helped throw a baby shower for my good friend Katie and then headed to my MIL’s for a girls night. Such a fun night watching the chick flick ‘Safe Haven’ (pretty good movie, not was I was expecting at all).

Saturday morning Whit and I woke up and did a beautiful trail run together. She did her first 5k post baby and did a great job! I did one more mile after to make it 4 so I could hit my weekly mileage goal.

photo(617)Josh had to work Saturday night so J and I headed to Target. Don’t act like Target’s not secretly you’re fav place too…

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Sounds like a great weekend! I love it when my boys do things together like that too 🙂
I’m totally a daddy’s girl, but I think it’s really because I’m JUST like him…I think we have a deeper connection because of it. Happy Daddy Day!

  2. Those last two pictures are adorable!!
I’m probably more of a Daddy’s girl and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂

Wow, girl, your mileage this weekend is rocking and rolling! I am loving it! Plus, the outdoors looks beautiful! Woo hoo lady! 🙂 🙂 So cute, J giving his aunt flowers! I can’t tell you how dangerous a place Target is for me. For some reason, my paychecks last me a lot longer when I’m not at a Target in between pay periods. Love all the dads in your life! Precious. I had a good race this weekend, still a bit sore from it! And it was just a 5K! Yikes! Have a great day!

  4. This looks like such a great weekend! You’re doing an awesome job of sticking to your training plan and really nailing that upper body strength training. Rock on!

  5. J in the fedora is too cute! Looks like a great wknd w/ ur fellas!

  6. YES to the hat!…father’s day is kinda bittersweet for me – great to be with my hubby and FIL, but I lost my father almost 2 years ago now – so it’s no longer quite the same

Yes to the fedora! So cute:) Nice work finishing off your weekly mileage. I loved the arm workout on the porch steps! I loved Safe Haven too! I was pleasantly surprised by it. Definitely a daddy’s girl especially since we didn’t have any brothers.
