Thankful Thursday

Wednesday- 4.18 miles all by my lonesome

4 miles with a couple walking breaks to enjoy my scenery. I just wanted to be outside and think about all the things I’m so grateful for in my life. It was a really refreshing run/walk to be alone with my thoughts.

Thankful Thursday

1. For the beautiful Sun that reminds me that everyday is a new day. I get the gift of starting over each day to try and be a better selfย  than I was yesterday.

2. Of course for my boys. They give my life meaning.

3. For so many mom friends. I love that my neighborhood has so many great moms and I get to be around them and learn so much from them.

just a few of the wonderful ladies I get to call my friends

4. That J is a pretty cautious kid. He loves horses, but when it comes to feeding them he’d rather scoot and crouch and slip the carrots through the bottom of the fence.

photo(565)What are you thankful for today?

If you could have any dessert right now what would it be?

Were you cautious as a kid?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I have three sisters and we were all total mamas girls when we were little. We couldn’t do anything without mom right there. We eventually grew out if it but it did make us pretty cautious in the early years of life.

All great things to be thankful for! So cute how cautious J is…I was the complete opposite as a kid. Give me something to climb, or jump off and I was doing it. Probably explains why I do all the extreme sports I do now- haha.

  3. My Rylnn is SO cautious on some things but then fearless on others, so I guess I have to be thankful for both of those ๐Ÿ™‚ You have such wonderful things to be thankful for and good job on the 4 miles…I LOVE it when I’m running and can reflect on my thoughts…I’ve said LOTS of times that I could solve the worlds problems while I’m running ๐Ÿ™‚

I am thankful for my boys as well! If I could have dessert right now it would be those biscoff cookies!!

  5. Today, I am thankful for the sun, breezes off the water to cool me down, and kisses from two random corgis at the halfway point of my run ๐Ÿ™‚ I would eat these coconut date rolls I bought yesterday…so good! I was cautious and still am cautious…but I am afraid of horses, so J is brave in my eyes ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ps. He looks just like you in that picture of you two!

You stole the words out of my mouth. As I took a walk (almost alone, but with my dog) last night, I just thought about how grateful I am for everything around me, everyday. Nothing could be better right now, ever, and I think that’s because of the way I see things nowadays. The people in my life, the way I’ve chosen to live my life, the things I have been afforded opportunities to do, all of it – it all makes me so thankful to be here.
I love that you enjoyed your scenery during your run and soaked up some relaxing alone time. ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s what makes running the best sport ever. Those views are wonderful, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. If I could have any dessert right now it would either be cake batter ice cream/froyo or ice cream cake! Apparently I have a thing for the ice cream/cake combo! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. Gorgeous sun and a gorgeous lady! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. I’m thankful for a great evening last night with one of my best friends eating dinner and gushing over “Man of Steel.” It had been too long since a girl’s night with her ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. I love the quiet moments on my runs. If it wasn’t for them it would be difficult to get through my day!
