Workout
Thursday- 3 miles with Brittany
Just another beautiful run with a great friend. I totally forgot to take any pics, too caught up in the conversation;)
Fun Friday Facts
1. During our first year of marriage we went on a trip back east with Josh’s family. It was so fun to go to so many historical sites and learn about our (my new) family history. I had never traveled to most of these places(NY, IL, MO) and they were so hot and humid. UT is hot, but it’s very dry. This picture was taken at the hottest place on out trip, in my opinion. We were in MO and I felt like my skin was melting off and then seconds after this photo the biggest thunderstorm rolled in. It was crazy!
2. This is me and my lil sis Bree 2 summers ago. I was pregnant with J and she wasn’t even married. Now she’s married and pregnant and has the same due date as I did with J! How the times have changed…
3. Also while I was pregnant with J we headed up to Jackson Hole, WY with my family. It was freezing here but it was so beautiful. We got to stay in a really nice cabin(my dad’s boss owns it) and have fun with family. No, that’s not where we got Jackson’s name from, but I still regret not getting him a Jackson Hole onsie.
This weekend I have 2 baby showers, can you believe it? I can’t, but it sure is fun to celebrate with them!
What are your weekend plans?
Anyone live in MO? How do you survive in the summer?
That pink sweatshirt is a great color for you! 🙂 I have a concert this weekend, but that’s about it! Enjoy the baby shower fun!
Two baby showers! I think I’m going strawberry picking, possibly spending time in my parent’s pool, and relaxing! Have a great weekend!
How fun!
Yes, when I visited Arizona and New Mexico, I couldn’t believe how dry it was! I mean, I obviously know that it’s the desert, ha, but I had never experienced something like that – so hot in the sun, but nice and cool in the shady. PA is so different!
No clue what our weekend plans are but I cannot wait for whatever!! Have a great weekend (:
Have a great weekend too!
Yay for a good run with a friend! 🙂 You know that makes me smile!
Cute travel times! 🙂 I love traveling and wish I could do it more often! Budgets are the worst!
And don’t even bother coming to Atlanta… the heat and humidity here are insane. Nothing dry at all in these parts! In fact, much like that picture, it can be super sunny and gorgeous and then a storm with flash flood warnings will roll in. Insane.
I cope with it by stressing about my frizzy and muggy hair conditions, complaining about how it slows my runs down and many pool days. 🙂 The first two aren’t so much coping mechanisms as they are legit complains. Have a wonderful time at the baby showers this weekend!!!
Thanks! Great, so I have no hope when I travel to the east coast during the summer? I’m just going to sweat to death? Very attractive. haha have a great weekend!
I can definitely say the one thing I have never missed since moving to Denver is humidity.
I grew up in Michigan and the lived in NYC for the last decade and you pretty much just sweat from April-October nonstop. haha- it’s gross.
That’s horrible, I sweat a lot already, I don’t know how you all do it and run in it too, amazing!
We are having a big birthday dinner with Andy’s family to celebrate all the June birthdays since we have a TON of them, but that’s all we have planned for this weekend…and tonight is PIZZA NIGHT!
Awe, that sounds like so much fun! I love pizza night, have fun!
I bet Utah is beautiful! I would love to run there one day 🙂 Have a marvelous wknd!!
It really is, the mountains are so gorgeous. I hope you get to visit, we can run together and def get some yummy chocolate and froyo ha
It’s funny that you’re talking about humidity and you’re planning a trip to FL in the summer…where it is SO HUMID! It’s usually 90% humidity by 6am. BE PREPAREEEED! (a la Scar from Lion King). I’ve got some parties to attend, some volunteering to do, and a baseball game to cheer on this weekend!
Rachel, I’m terrified!! Seriously, that’s exactly what I was thinking about when I saw that old pic. I don’t know how to survive in the humidity, I need all your tips! Have a fun weekend!
I was born and raised in the Midwest. I lived in Iowa my whole life and just recently moved to Nebraska. And you are right..it is HOT and HUMID here during the Summer’s. I suppose that I am just used to it now, but it is certainly never something that I will ever enjoy!
I’m sorry=( I’m glad we have AC and snow cones to help deal with hot summers though!
Love that you didn’t take any pictures because you were too caught up in conversation 🙂 Those are the best! I can’t believe we’re at the age where everyone is having babies..but it’s so fun to celebrate! I live in Arkansas, so humidity is a DAILY thing…ICK! Have a good weekend!
I know, everyone is pregnant around me lol I love buying baby clothes and holding newborns so no compaints from me. I hope you can eat some yummy ice cream to stay cool!
2 baby showers? how fun! those are so much fun to attend
Thanks, it’s always fun to buy baby clothes.
That is a lot of babies… crazy how you two had/have the same due date! Have a blast at your two showers- I hope they don’t make you smell melted candy bars in diapers 🙂
I know right? I wonder if she’ll go early like me too, we’ll see! I really hope they don’t make me either, I hate shower games lol
I live in IL, so it’s crazy humid here, too! I drink lots of water and dress in layers 🙂
Dress in layers? Is that for when it rains or something? I’m going to FL this summer and need tips to beat the humidity!
A Jackson Hole onesie would have been hilarious! 🙂
haha I need to go back and get one!!
