Escala Park City Getaway

Friday we had the opportunity to go to Escala in Park City. My SIL has the hook ups and got us a killer deal for the whole weekend.

photo(674) Josh’s family all headed up after work on Friday. His parents watched the boys while we went out to eat. It was so fun to walk around Main Street and enjoy dinner without kids. We ended up eating at a fun pizza/sub restaurant. It has a billion cans and pictures of customers all along the walls.

We shared a BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was delicious, then headed back to relieve Papa and Grandma. We put J down to bed and Josh and I headed to the pool. It was still about 75* out so it felt so nice!

We did some shopping, and then went swimming again that night after dinner. Such a great weekend getaway with family. After the boys went to bed us girls did our nails, and we all enjoyed some serious sugar. =)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Nice treadmill run! I consider being able to run outside [due to nice weather] a luxury and it’s so hard to get back on the machine sometimes! I’m waiting for them to invent one surrounded by an imax screen so you could run in the area of your choice.

  2. One of my weekend highlights was the BBQ I went to on Saturday. One of my former coworkers was on his way to the Keys and he stopped by my house for the night. It was so nice to see him and to introduce him to my friends here!

  3. Your nails are adorable! Perfect for the 4th šŸ™‚ My weekend highlight was going to the drive-in movie theater on Saturday, so fun! Glad you had a great weekend as well!

  4. Sounds like so much fun! Sometimes a change in scenery can be really nice! I had a nice extended weekend that involved a lot of much needed relaxing.

I got in a good 10 mile training run and soaked up the sun as well! šŸ™‚ Have a great day!

  8. I pretty much love bbq anything, but I have been LOVING bbq sauce on pizzas a lot, lately! I love to use chickpeas in place of chicken to make bbq “chicken” pizzas.
