Free things make me incredibly happy

1.63 miles on the bike + walk with my neighbor

I had every intention of doing a killer workout yesterday morning after a great walk with my friend. Oops, lazy took over.

Luckily, it didn’t last too long and I got my toosh into gear. I had a lot of errands to run (tire rotation on my car, pick up bday gift for my nephew, Walgreens, etc.)

J was a trooper because all of the places I went he got something free out of it. I don’t know about you, but I sure love free things. Did I ever tell you last week when I was in Lake Powell I made us all drive across town to get frozen yogurt because I had a buy one get one free? We passed a U-Swirl and I couldn’t get it out of my head all week. We all drove there late at night to find out the building wasn’t quite finished yet, fail.

Anyways, j got a free sucker at the bank(he won’t let me leave without one. As soon as the lady comes on the intercom he screams, “sucker pwease!”)

Then we got free popcorn at Les Swchab tires. Oh, and they give free tire rotations, score!

We ran into the store to get a Birthday gift for my nephew and J saw the horse ride. I let him sit on it and since he doesn’t know it will move if you put a coin in it, it was free! (That was a stretch, I know ha)

photo(13)Once we were home from errands we made lunch. Honey ham on whole wheat bakery bed, extra pepper please, so delish.

It’s been a bit cloudy out and I’m getting an itch to start baking with pumpkin soon. I really really love fall. Don’t get me wrong I’m still savoring the last days of summer, but I’m excited=)

Who loves fall?

What things have you gotten for free lately?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I LOVE fall. I’ve been dying looking at all the pumpkin/apple/cinnamon/caramel recipes on Pinterest. I seriously cannot wait to start cooking! And I kind of miss the feeling of crisp morning air filling my lungs, and the sound of leaves crunching below my feet. And the clothes… oh how I love fall clothes!

OMG that picture of J’s face all scrunched up – so dang cute! You two are awesome! I love free things, of course, and that horse ride totally counts – not a stretch at all! I would have been so bummed if I drove somewhere and the fro yo was closed! Agh! OMG I love pumpkin and can’t wait! I had a pumpkin mocha yesterday and was so thrilled! 🙂 We didn’t get a real summer in GA (so much rain!) so I’m ready for fall thank you very much. Have a great weekend!!!

  3. I have been seeing the little baby pumpkins pop up over by the squash in the store! Tempted to buy one. Totally need a place by me that does free popcorn AND free tire rotations!! That’s awesome!! Have a great wknd my friend!

I love the fall, too! People probably think I am crazy for wanting it to be fall and not summer anymore. Especially since I come from southern California and the fall here in Wisconsin means we are one step closer to winter. I love the seasons! I am getting a little too excited about this right now. I also am a huge fan of free stuff. I don’t care what it is. If it is free, I want it.

I adore fall, my absolute favorite season! That’s why I love Washington weather so darn much, it feels like Fall with all the rain and overcast skies! Love free stuff as well, the free children events they have around the state of Utah is just awesome, not only for the kiddos:-) I got a free froyo at Menchie’s this past weekend!

Love that pic of the little man! And I cannot even remember the last time I got something for free..wahh

  7. Fall is the best season, hands down! So excited to wear my corduroy’s, sweaters and boots once again. I remember getting free lollypops at the bank as a kid- that was never a place I minded going with my mom.

  8. Fall is my absolute favorite season, too! It’s so beautiful and I love the chill in the air. That picture of J eating popcorn is priceless and I used to put my boys on the horse without putting money in it, too!!

  9. I really like fall weather for running, but I will keep the heat and humidity during the day. Give me cool weather in the morning and pool weather during the day 🙂
