Weekly Goals

Saturday-3 miles, 9:55 pace hotel treadmill

The weekend started off great with a birthday lunch with a my good friend Katie. I love getting together and chatting, she’s too kind to me. The kids entertained themselves with rocks after lunch when we weren’t finish chattin it up=)


Later on I met up with Josh who had booked a hotel up in Park City for my birthday. He’s always been so good at making me feel special. We love coming up here and having ourselves a little getaway. Recap will be coming tomorrow, for now let’s talk about our weekly goals!

*Can I just take a sec and say how happy I am that I was able to run this week?? You guys, I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to run, I’m making sure I am smart about it so I never have to take that much time off again!


Weekly Goals

I need to apologize to myself for not being consistent with my goals lately. I’m getting back on track today.

1. Do all my stretching before and after my workouts. It’s amazing how much better I feel when I remember to do that.

2. It’s that time again to cool down on the treats. Only one a day this week.

3. Get outside for at least one run, take in the final days of summer.

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. It sounds like you had a great birthday weekend! I also love your goals! I am definitely trying to enjoy running outside before the weather turns cold soon!

  2. Yay for getting to run and feeling great! I love that feeling! I’m definitely with you on cooling down on the treats!

  3. Way for running! Be slow on adding on mileage my dear, and definitely don’t skip the post run stretch (I need to get better at this also).

  4. I also need to be better about stretching after my workouts. I’m usually just so tired and lazy afterward that I put it off for way too long.
