Happy Monday! After a weekend of indulgences ahem, it was my Birthday so I ate what I wanted(I mean a lot) it’s always nice to start fresh. I already mentioned my goals this week(one being one dessert a day) so I’m ready to go!
But first, can I recap what a fun Birthday weekend I had? It started Friday when I met Josh up in Park City for a weekend getaway. We brought J because he’s cute and still too hard(for me) to leave sometimes;)
I got to choose where to go so we went to Cafe Rio for dinner. I’m a simple kind of gal and all I wanted was some Mexican food. All. Weekend. Long. *I used to hate Mexican food in high school. Not sure what changed but now I’m an addict.
I’m not kidding, after my 3 mile treadmill run (and stretches with my resistance band because I’m trying to listen to my Dr) we headed to Blue Iguana another delicious Mexican restaurant.
No pic of my boring bean burrito, just J falling asleep.
J and I napped while the hubs watched football. After our cat nap, we took a tram ride. It was fun to go up and down the mountain. J kept saying, “Buzz Lightyear!” because clearly we were flying. We walked around a bit and found a bobsled(Park City was where the Olympics were held), J thought it was a space ship.
Then the party showed up, yup my SIL’s came to party with us while the boys watched college basketball. I love chatting with those girls. And yes, me and Whit coordinated our shirts, duh.
Sunday we went to church and then to my sister Bree’s baby blessing. (she’s the one that just moved here from Idaho). My sisters spoiled me there too. They both made me my fav desserts, I am loved.
It was a perfect weekend, and I’m excited for this year. I need to think of some goals and share with ya! Today I’m attempting a 4-5 miler. Last week I did 3, 3 milers and I’m taking it slow building back up, wish me luck!
Do you enjoy your Birthday?
What’s your favorite Birthday dessert?
I do not like cake much at all, so anything with chocolate and peanut butter!
anyone running a new distance this week?
Yay for birthday weekends! Glad you got to spend it with some of your favorite people! When it comes to birthday dessert, I’m all about chocolate cake. Yum π
Ill have to remember that for your bday, have a great Monday Sarah!
Happy birthday!!! Being able to spend time with family/friends on a birthday is the best! I’m not picky when it comes to dessert, although I do not like chocolate cake, basically anything else is fine by me. I can’t believe you don’t like cake! I think I’m going to try to get up to 2.5 or 3 miles this week. Not a new distance, but new-ish to me!
That’s awesome Ashley, can’t wait to hear how you do!
