The Fall bug and no running

Workout

monday- rest

tuesday- 2 mile walk with becca and tennis

My hamstring is still a bit tight so I took it easy the last 2 days. My neighbor and friend becca(she has twins and a 7mo old!) went on a walk yesterday morning. I loved chatting, and then we ended up at the park and played some tennis with Kim. They didn’t know I couldn’t hit a ball to save my life. That’s why I stick to running.

Yesterday afternoon I went to lunch with my really good friend Paige. I hadn’t seen her in too long and it was nice to catch up. Yes, I’m embarrassed to say I ate at Zupas, again! You’d be proud of me, I did try something new, the turkey cranberry sandwich.

I love finding a new decoration each year to add to my collection. I also made some pumpkin bread that was delicious! I’m not sure why I was surprised, it had pumpkin and cinnamon in it=)

I’m hoping to get a short run in today and see how the hamstring feels. Wish me luck!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Good luck on your run, I hope your hammy feels better! The fall bug is taking over my life. I’ve not done any decorating, but that’s mainly because we really don’t have many fall decorations, yet.

  2. That sandwich looks awesome!! I used to play tennis, and will do it with friends for fun, but running just gives me a better mental release!

  3. I wish I got bitten by the fall bug….but it hasn’t happened yet! Prob b/c I am mourning summer & need to get baby’s room in order….haha.

  11. I LOVE decorating my home for the seasons. I’m trying to refrain from putting out my Halloween decorations right now, but I really want to. I’m trying to wait until October. I ran 4 miles this morning and then did 10 minutes on elliptical, 1 hour strength tonight. I’m exhausted!!

I love decorating for the seasons too (especially Christmas!), but the fall bug hasn’t quite bit me yet- still in the 80’s here, so feeling too summery to decorate now ……soon though 🙂

  13. Oh Turkey and Cranberry…Two of my most favorite flavors ever!! LOVE me some Thanksgiving dinners and that is all in one sandwich. Oh glorious!
