The best discovery that has taken me too long to discover

Workout

Thursday- 3 miles on treadmill(slow recovery miles) + abs

It felt really good to run 2 days in a row. I needed a run to shake out my leg muscles from my lower body workout from Wednesday. The only pic I have is of J. He loves to play in his pack n play when I run even though he’s old enough now to know not to touch it while I’m running. I looked over and he was tucking himself under the mattress and saying, ‘nigh nigh’.

I got to spend the rest of yesterday at my sister Leah’s house with my other sister Bree. It always fun to chat, eat, and hold babies all day. J had fun playing with all his cousins toys while they were at school.

I have a really embarrassing fact to share with you all. I am from Washington state and I’ve never made salmon. My mom always made it for me growing up, and my whole married life I’ve lived in UT(landlocked so I figured it wasn’t worth making). I finally ventured out to Costco, bought a salmon, used the rub my mom sent from WA and it was the best thing! Not to mention how easy it is to barbecue, I mean really? How did it take me this long(3.5 years of marriage) to make this? Please forgive me.

please tell me I’m not the only adult who’s never made salmon?

how are your workouts going?

ever fall asleep with food in your mouth?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

It amazes me the different places that kids can fall asleep. I don’t think I have fallen asleep with food in my mouth as an adult, maybe as a kid but I don’t know. I have a feeling after this weekend of sleeping on the ground that I will fall asleep anywhere and probably with food in my mouth.

  6. haha J looks as happy as a calm sleeping with that lollipop!! I actually love salmon and get excited when it’s on sale at the store. I need to find a really good marinade though!

  7. I don’t think I’ve ever made salmon but I really enjoy to eat it! We usually buy other kind of fish. I’ve never fell asleep with food in my mouth, but I have fallen asleep mid-conversation.

  8. I love salmon!!! Don’t worry–there are worse things in life than not discovering salmon….BUT I am so glad you did!

  9. I made salmon for myself for the first time a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was!
