Fall favs on the first of fall

Yesterday was the first day of Fall! I don’t know what it is, but I’m am giddy about the new season. I can’t wait for Halloween, and all the new fall/winter traditions we get to do with J.

I wanted to share some of my favorite things already about fall. I was thinking about them yesterday, and I couldn’t help but be excited about the little things that remind me fall is here.

1. New colors and layers to wear. I love this mustard color yellow and finally found a cute sweater at Banana Republic on sale for $20! (Thanks to my sister who gave me a gift card for my bday=))

I always did it with my sisters and mom growing up. I love the fall colors I can start wearing and the darker sparkle ones too.

4. The obvious one, the changes in all the colors outside. It’s so fun running in the cooler temps in the morning and seeing all the beautiful color on the side of the mountain.

5. Last, but certainly not least, comfort food! I love fall foods that bring me back to when I was child. I can remember when I would come in from playing out in the brisk air and my mom would have a warm dinner of soup and fresh rolls waiting for me. The best! (I need to work on my cooking skills, but mac n’ cheese is still comforting to me hehe)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

The food! And BOOTS! I get giddy about all of the cuddly clothes. I also love being able to have the windows open all day adn reading outside. So many things to get excited about 🙂

  4. Yesterday I was in full-on fall mode. I was baking up a storm, pumpkin nut muffins, apple sauce and a few other non-fall things, with a pumpkin spice candle lit while getting ready to relax and watch some football. I think I need to buy some fall decorations, I just love it.

  5. I love that sweater!! I bought one a similar color last fall and haven’t worn it lately, but will soon!
