Mini Progression run and chocolate coma

Wednesday- 3 miles, shortest progression run ever

I wanted to do 5-6 mile progression run and then realized what time it was and I was gonna be late for an important date=) So I did a ‘mini’ progression run and called it good. I’m hoping to get a longer run in this morning and play around with speed and see how my IT band feels. On another happy note, I wore my Brooks Pure Flow for the first time in 3 months. They were hurting my leg, but today I had no such soreness, yay! Little steps people…

My important date was with the sweetest girl on the planet, Janae and Brooke! We met up at one of my fav places, Firehouse Subs. So stinking good. J was crazy so we went outside, oops it was a wind storm. Nope I didn’t cut my hair into a bob, it was so windy!

After I hung out with my lil sis and her cute baby. J would not leave him alone. Do you see his eyes? I think he was scared for his life.

After dinner we headed to Costco because we needed some chicken.(on our way there I saw snow on the mountains! Oh dear, I need to pump myself up for this, I don’t know that I’m ready for it just yet!)

I’m so glad we went because I found my exact crock pot for only $40! My last one cracked one day, so sad and I love using the crock pot for dinner on days I’ll be out of the house. Oh and then we found this gem. He has a love for chocolate even at his young age. We were all in chocolate coma but the end of the night. Maybe that bag will make it to Halloween? ya it prob won’t make it past the weekend;)

favorite chocolate bar?

please tell me some good Halloween costume ideas

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Firehouse is delish – good call! And yay for your run! 🙂 Can’t wait to hear how your speedier run goes soon! 🙂

Shortest progression run is actually the kind when you start trotting toward your probably expired parking meter and then see the meter lady heading down the street so you pick up the pace a bit and then you see her stop by your car and you launch into a full-on sprint. Half a block. More heart-pumping action than you thought your body could take. I really hope your IT starts behaving itself. Envious you got to hang out with Janae…she is the sweetest.
