Workout
Monday- 5 miles, 10:10 avg pace on treadmill
I was suffering from some serious DOMS(delayed onset muscle soreness) from my long run/leg workout on Saturday. I always like to go on a slow run to loosen up the muscles and then stretch for awhile. Even though I was running slower than I ran Saturday, this run kicked my trash. I’m still building up my aerobic endurance, and my lungs were feeling it.
All smiles though, so glad I can get 5 miles in and J just runs circles around me, ‘to be like mommy’ love it.
J requested last night as I was putting him to bed that we go on a walk. I promised we would in the morning if he slept like a good boy. I had no idea he would remember, but the first thing he said when he woke up was, ‘go in stroller mom?’ So, we walked around the neighborhood a bit and played in the back yard.
He brought me wood chips and weeds and said, “for you mom.” So sweet=)
For dinner I made terriyaki chicken with pineapple lettuce wraps. I’m so glad Costco had an awesome crock pot for sale9my other one cracked). I love easy crock pot dinners(just threw in a couple chicken breasts, terriyaki sauce, garlic, brown sugar and pineapple. Done!
After we took J to Boondocks. It’s a fun center that we’ve never been to before. We decided to go miniature golfing and then get a few tokens for some games. J loved just running around and Josh and I liked putting.
Do you like miniature golfing? Are you good at it?
Do you run after a hard workout to loosen muscles or rest?
I haven’t been mini golfing in ages, we used to go every summer though. There was one right by the beach.
I hate mini golfing. I’m so bad at it that I get frustrated and just start to cheat. That’s more fun 😉 I run after a long run, always (at least during this train round). I usually run after a hard weights session to loosen up the legs, too. It just makes me feel so much better.
Mini golfing can be so fun! but I am terrible at it!
I need to make more things in the crock-pot. We have one and I have never used it! Do you have any easy recipes that you love??
Oh yes! One of my favorites is called chicken stacks. Serves 3
2 chicken breasts,
half a can of fav salsa
1 can Drained corn
I can drained rinsed black or kidney bean
Let the chicken cook through, shred chicken, and then put in a tortilla! I put some lime and cilantro on top too:)

I used to love mini golf as a kid but I was never very good at it. I’ve not been in YEARS!
YES! Sometimes after a long run I’m SO sore for a few days after! It always confuses me, I’m like, hello, I do this every weekend, WTF!? 🙂 J is so sweet to bring you woodchips! LOL! And mini golfing is so much fun! I used to go all the time in high school!
