Tuesday- 3.42 miles on stationary bike + arms/core workout

It’s always hard for me to do cross training. when I feel good running, I just wanna run everyday!

Luckily, I can wear my pajamas! oh the joys of working out at home.

20131001-123504.jpgI finally got dressed and headed over to my sisters. I surprised her because we had a miscommunication. I literally woke her up because I thought she told me to come then haha oops! At least I got to bathe Mason and hold him all morning=)

20131001-123449.jpgI took J home for his nap because I wanted him to wake up nice and happy. We were meeting Arrienne from Ribbon Runner and her handsome son Cole. I was so excited to finally meet her! We carpooled to a blogger meet up at Yogurtland and she had me laughing so hard. I can’t wait to get together again soon.

Then we got to chat with all these lovely ladies. Seriously, I feel so blessed to call them my friends. We talked about all things running and babies! Annette is due in about a week with a girl, me and J, Janae and Brooke, Arrienne and Cole, and Ashley and her brand new baby Ford! I had such a great time, I think this is my very favorite things about blogging=)

20131001-174612.jpg 20131001-174629.jpgWe rushed home just in time for me to make a pasta dinner with broccoli and honey dew. I had to run to a church activity. Fortunately, they had even more snacks for me to enjoy!

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  2. I usually top my froyo with mochi and fruit — it’s my favorite. I don’t really like sweets on it but I think that’s because I almost always go with a tart flavor. Right now I’m having a hard time doing any training! Motivation, where are you?

    • Do you have some new music? That gets me out if the house to run sometimes. Or get a new top, I know it’s silly bit it’s nice to have something new to look forward to. I also tell myself, in just gonna run two miles but once I’m out I usually finish what was on my plan;)

    LOVE the pajamas haha. Why didn’t you just wear them to Yogurtland 😉 The long drive was so worth it. Our “date” was so fun. Must do it again soon. I always have a hard time cross training. I would always rather run!

    ahh love all these bloggers! i’m a very jealous girl right now. love your strategy about the fruit cup, hahah. i love doing my workout dvds because i can do it in my pajamas except i do have to put a sports bra on and its a pain and seems like too much effort.

  8. I love to cross train but I love to run MORE! I am thankful for cross training though because it helps prevent injuries so it’s good to mix it up and not run yourself into the ground. Looks like a fun time with las chicas!

    cross training is all I can do right now, so i better start to love it right? haha.
    favorite fro-yo toppings depend on the mood, but I either go with fruit or chocolate stuff. I ALWAYS get mochi though 🙂
