I’m a lucky girl + How to ramp up your stationary bike workout

Workout

Tuesday- 5 miles on stationary bike +arm/leg workout

I didn’t get my workout in until later in the evening. Who am I these days? I’m a die hard early morning person, but lately I’ve been okay letting it wait till later. Anyways, I rode the stationary bike today but needed to get dinner ready, so I incorporated some arm exercises while riding my bike.

I used really light weight weights and during the entire 15 min workout I moved my arms. I did bicep curls, arm extensions, overhead tricep dips, and arm presses. It was  enough to get my heart rate up and get in a great arm workout while doing cardio. After I did a quick set of lunges and squats and called it good.

J wanted to do some weights too. . .

Oh, and I can’t forget stretching. Just because I’m not injured anymore doesn’t mean I can stop stretching to prevent it! This is one of my fav stretches.

Even earlier in the day I made my way to the Apple Store again. I was frustrated with my phone but the guy who helped me was great. He replaced my phone! I thought my warranty was up, but guess what? I had 3 days left! I am so lucky! They even had my phone but it was the last one in stock. I would show you a cute pic of J playing at the Apple Store but they wiped my phone, so no pic. Just glad I can finally talk on my phone. . . to my mom and sisters, the only people I really talk to ha

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  3. Love that pic of you and your mama! 🙂 I have an android phone…Samsung galaxy S4 or something like that. It does what I need it to do so I guess that’s good lol

I have the iphone 4s and I’m pretty happy with it…although i spilled coffee on it and the sound stops working randomly.

  6. I guess you could say that me and my iPhone 5 are attached at the hip!

  7. I love your idea to do weights while on the back! Now that is smart thinking!

  8. I just traded my iphone 4s in for the new iphone 5s and I do like some of the new features, but I liked my 4 just about the same 🙂

  9. Using those weights while you were biking was a stroke of genius. Isn’t it amazing how even a very light weight – if used constantly – can really work you out?
    I love my IPhone 🙂

  10. UMM yes. That’s all I talk to too! You go girl. That’s a good workout. J is the cutest with those weights!
