Tuesday- 3 miles on treadmill + core work

I woke up craving a run. I haven’t ran 2 days in a row in awhile since my injury. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I needed to just take myself on a run to brush it off. I love my treadmill. I’m so grateful to love it because we spend a lot of time together during the winter months of UT.

I have some random things for you today, enjoy!

1. A long time ago I made the yummiest salmon with this rub. I forgot to post what rub it is. My mom got it at Costco in Seattle, but you can order them online.

2. J loves Ninja Turtles and thinks this sword is a ninja sword(it’s actually a tiny light saber). This is how he travels with it, ya know, most convenient.

20131022-171139.jpg3. You know those days where you’re running around trying to get things done? That was me a few days ago and I went to change my laundry and realized(hours later) I never turned it on, ugh.

20131022-171200.jpg4. This little man runs this house hold. If I’m not getting up early to go running, this guy is waking me up early with all sorts of demands. Good thing he’s cute.

1. have a blast at my half this weekend with my sisters

2. Soak up the sun while it lasts

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

    Great goals for the week! Mine would have to be get in 4 P90X workouts and enjoy the beautiful fall weather we had been having. However the wacky thing was waking up this morning and seeing snow……..

  2. So, I saw your comment on The Dancing Runner’s blog that you’re in Utah & I got all excited, cause that’s where I live too!!! That salmon rub looks good. I’ll have to get online & order some. My main goal this week is to get motivated again.

    Of course the SEATTLE costco has amazing things… OF FREAKING COURSE. All we have that’s special down here in Southern Costco is farmed fish and an excess of Christmas things. Good salmon rubs? Bettuh fooogettt about it! 🙂

  4. Are you posting weekly goals now? Great idea! I could also set the goal of being more patient for myself. I’m wanting everything to be accomplished – now – with regard to my big move… but it takes time!

    How early do u get up to run? I want to start doing morning workouts, but I’ve had trouble getting my butt out of bed. Any tips?

    • I get up at 6:30, so I’m not sure that counts as early for most ppl. My husband leaves for work by 7:45 so I just have to be back by then. These are tips that help me:
      Get a running buddy so you know they’re waiting for you
      Lay out your clothes the night before or wear your clothes to bed
      Go to bed on time so you get at least 7 hours of sleep.
