Tuesday- 3 miles on treadmill(POM: 11/60 miles) + lots of stretching

I’m still really sore from the leg workout I did on Monday. After yesterday’s slow run, I spent some time stretching. This is one of my favorite stretches for my tooshie.

20131105-163348.jpgYou place your leg right above the knee cap, shown in above picture, and then lower your body making a 90* angle. The lower you go the more of a stretch you’ll feel.

J felt like running with me so who put on my Brooks and ran around beside me.

On a random note, I got an email saying the Haunted Half race pics were up. I find a couple, this one is my favorite=)

20131105-163445.jpgAnyways, back to the important point of this post. Red Velvet Cupcakes! Last night the girls in my youth group got to dress up and show off what they’ve been working on this year. We invite their parents to come, and each girl talks a bit about a project they’ve been working on from their book Personal Progress.

I was in charge of the dessert committee and I made these.

They were so simple and delicious. My MIL made them for the family a couple of weeks ago and they were a hit. The dessert table did not disappoint.

Have you ever purchased race pictures?ย I haven’t, I wish they would just include them in the price of the race.

  2. So many good desserts! Yummmm. That is also my favorite stretch. We always do it after spin class and it feels soooo good!

    Red velvet is my favorite! YUMMY! And I’m giving up sweeets like this for the next month so DROOL over here!
    And I totally agree with you – races should INCLUDE the dang pictures in their already pricey fees. We should make that happen together. Change the world and what not!
    Love that stretch! I love doing stretches like that and also lots of hip stretches! ๐Ÿ™‚ Cute race pictures!! I always look serious in races and can never remember feeling so serious, but whatevs!

  6. You are adorbs in those race pictures! That is a great stretch for your hip flexors…I make my spin class do it after every workout!!

  8. I have never purchased my own race pictures, but my parents have so that is always nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ I agree with you, they need to be included in the race price! That would be so expensive to always purchase your race pictures!
