Friday 3 miles on treadmill +leg/butt workout the below moves, 3 times with a 5lb weight

Saturday- 4 miles outside with Heather

I took Thursday off just to make sure my leg was feeling 100%. Friday I did 3 miles at a much slower pace than Wednesday. Just so you know how much slower, Wednesday I ran 3 miles in 26 min, and Friday I ran 3 miles in 31 min. I’m finally realizing that rest, and recovery miles are so much better than pushing hard every single day and resulting in an injury.

Today I ran outside in 20* weather with Heather. She is such a champ to get up early, in the freezing cold, while she has a cold! It was so beautiful out which makes being freezing 2 hours after my run worth it.

Since I was too lazy to post yesterday, let’s play catch up.

1. J has a cold which is super sad, but it’s just the season. Luckily, he gets all cuddly when he’s sick so I get extra snuggles.

20131121-180010.jpg2. We met Josh for lunch at his parents house on Thursday. J was so excited to be eating lunch with Papa and dad(his parents live by Josh’s office).

20131121-180158.jpg3. It’s been freezing and snowing just a bit this week. Yesterday J and I both needed to get out of the house so we walked over to the park by our house. We stayed until our noses turned red. I’m so glad J isn’t afraid of snow like last year.

20131123-090653.jpg4. Last night we went out to Rumbi’s. I had a coupon and I love their Aloha Mango salads. Hit the spot! (the pic is blurry because I was in a hurry to eat haha!)

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

    A 7:30 mile?!?!?!? DANGGGGGGGG. TOTALLY awesome! and you weren’t even trying, which makes it even better! Super wonderful! And good job foam rolling! I’ll be doing tons of that this weekend and week! I want to be sure I’m all kinds of ready for the marathon. I even asked my boyfriend how we can pack my foam roller so I can have it after the race… haha, I NEED it! I’m addicted to it!!
    That second picture is gorgeous! It’s like just a kiss of snow – super cute! And you look absolutely beautiful in that picture. Have an amazing weekend!!!

  3. Upper body workout today. Necessary because I have zero upper body strength but I’ll for sure be sore tomorrow.
