Monday- 4 miles on treadmill

Treadmill Tuesday: Running Roulette

This week I downloaded a couple of new songs and decided to run according to the song. When it was a slow song I ran at a comfortable pace and when it was a fast or upbeat song I would run at a faster or challenging pace for the entire song.

**If you’re new to running and don’t think you can run at a much faster pace for an entire 2 or 3 minutes(full song) you can run faster during just the chorus of the song.

Here’s a couple of songs that came on while I was running if you need a place to start. There’s a couple of slow songs and fast. Really, I just put my playlist on shuffle.

20131125-213221.jpgI enjoyed my run, but I was so annoyed with my shorts pocket. It always comes out of my waistband! I mean does anyone really use this tiny pocket?

After running, I spent the day grocery shopping, running to the bank, and cleaning the house. J usually likes to ‘help’ with the chores and then I let him watch a couple of shows while I run. Yesterday he found a crayon in the toy box. . .

My arm workout was cut short and spent trying to scrub it out. I wasn’t successful.

For family night we all watched Avatar(or as much as J was interested) and ate some treats.

what do you hope for today?

Anyone have any secrets on how to get crayon out of fabric Ikea boxes?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I hope today is a great day with my high schoolers. It’s the last day I’m with them for the semester!!

At least you got an arm workout from scrubbing?

  2. I do the same thing with songs, I swear it is the best way to get an interval workout in because you can change your pace based on the song

  3. I hope I can get a run in after work and then get to bed no later than 10:30!

Does Goo Gone work for stuff like that? I know it works for paint but I’m not sure about fabric..

  4. Chocolate cinnamon bears? Those sound tasty! The chocolate/cinnamon combo sounds like a fantastic one.

I’m hoping my dentist appt isn’t completely awful:/ great playlist! I may have to steal a few of those songs!

  6. Love chocolate covered cinna bears!
Good luck with that! If you find anything let me know.. I have dry marker on my ottoman… kids.

I would try Melaleuca Prespot. My husband spill a blueberry syrup all over our white rug and this stuff took it right out.

I always use my tiny shorts pocket! haha- at the gym I put my locker key in it and when I run outside I put my house key and/or chapstick in it. Some seem to be smaller or looser than others though, so you gotta watch out for that!

  9. I hate those tiny pockets too!! If I’m on vacation it fits a room key/credit card but that’s about the only thing that won’t fall out!

  10. Running roulette!! I love that!

  11. Thank you for sharing your playlist. I love new song ideas to run to and after I have this baby, I am getting back on that treadmill!!
