Growing up we always went to the mountains the day after Thanksgiving and got a Christmas tree. This year we finally got a real Christmas tree(Home Depot has lots of beautiful ones, it’s no mountains but it’ll do). We had so much fun picking one out and decorating it. We even went to target for a hot second and just got stuff for the tree. Josh and I are not fans of large crowds ha

Saturday Highlights

W0rkout-2 miles on treadmill plus mini arm workout

I ran with my new Beats by Dr Dre headphones I was sent. I’m really enjoying them, but I’ve only ran a handful of runs with them. A full review coming soon!

Saturday J got to spend all day with Josh. When I got home I asked him what he did with daddy. He said he ate a star, and got a skateboard. He’s showing me how he ate his star cookie =)

20131130-202012.jpgMy Saturday was spent up North with my SIL and  MIL and some close friends. For my SIL’s Birthday she got to simulate skydiving! It was so awesome to watch her and the instructors show off a bit. It was a really fun day with really fun people=)

On our way there I saw hundreds of people dressed as Santa with race bibs on. Apparently there was a Santa 5k going on and then a parade. I had a little runner’s envy going on. . .

20131130-202059.jpgand then I got to babysit this sweet boy, I may need to steal him if my sister ever moves away.

Today we’re going to church and then hopefully getting Josh feeling better. He came down with a cold this weekend=(

did you get a long weekend?

Ever been skydiving?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. We got our tree at Home Depot too! They are really beautiful and affordable! Those people went all out for their Santa 5k! I’m running one in a few weeks and I still don’t have a costume! 😦

  2. Oh my gosh, I love all the runners dressed as Santa, so cute!! 🙂
