Mumble Jumble

Wednesday- 2 miles on treadmill while chatting with my sister

Thursday- 1.25 miles + bicep/tricep workout

I’ve decided I’m taking it easy in the mile department for December. I’m trying hard to focus more on strength training and do just a couple of warm up miles. We’ll see how that goes. . .

Mumble Jumbles

1. J has started to play a lot more ‘imaginary’ and I just love it. I love seeing what’s in the head of his. He wanted all his favorite toys to line up and watch him jump. He wanted me to talk them out(which I happily did). One day, I won’t be cool enough to play with him so I’ll be whatever he wants me to be=)

20131204-193733.jpg2. We drove around and saw Christmas lights. Every time we saw them we would clap. Seriously, the holidays are fun, but they’re magical with kids. Jackson’s face was priceless.

20131204-193628.jpg 20131204-193618.jpg3. Yesterday we had a full house. I love having so many friends so close with kids J’s age.

20131205-211638.jpg4. Last night I got to spend the night with so many fun girls. By the end of the night my cheeks hurt from laughing. There’s something about getting to chat with women, eat food, and enjoy a night out that is so rejuvenating. It was a progressive dinner where you start out at one persons house for appetizers, another house for dinner, and the last house for dessert. It was really fun!

My dinner plate because I forgot to take a picture of anything else. ha

20131205-211702.jpgIt was a fabulous week, freezing temperatures and all! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend=)

Ever been to a progressive dinner?

Did you see Christmas lights as a family growing up?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I love progressive dinners! We use to do these all the time growing up for New Years Eve! So much fun!! Looking at the Christmas lights is always one of the best parts of Christmas 🙂 and ending with hot coco and cookies makes it a perfect night! We always went out as a a family for the lights and it was always such a blast!

  2. I’ve never heard of progressive dinners, but that sounds like so much fun! My family and I still go out to see Christmas lights when we’re all together. It’s so fun, even though my brother’s 30, I’m 23, and my sister is 21.
