Switching it up

Friday- rest day

I’m counting shoveling my driveway Thursday night as my workout ha I’m still sore! J loved playing in the snow while I cleared the driveway. He reminds me of the kid on a Christmas Story all bundled up hardly able to move.

20131220-161852.jpgDid I mention that I really loves this time of year for all the yummy homemade treats? My neighbor is amazing and we look forward to these chocolate/caramel delights=)

20131220-161904.jpgWe went out to eat with Josh’s cousin to a new place Friday night. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and eat at the same places, so it’s fun to try something new. The same owners of Cafe Rio(a really popular Mexican restaurant) opened Wild Zucchini.

It’s the same kind of set up but with Italian food. There was piadini’s(which I got), pizza, and pasta. The wait was really long, but the food was so fresh and delicious. It’s not super expensive either, like $8 a person.

After, we headed to Jillian’s to let the kiddos play. Somehow J ended up in Maya’s bath. They played really well the whole night so it was nice to get to chat.

Do you like Italian food?

How often do you eat out?

what’s one thing you’re excited for this weekend?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. We try not to eat out too much in order to save money, and because we usually eat healthier at home, but when friends or family come over we tend to eat out. Since we don’t eat out often, it is fun and feels like a special occasion when we do! I am excited for my race I am running in this morning with my Dad!

  2. augh…Italian food is my weakness

J’s smile is so cute! I am not an Italian person at all, it always smells so good but I just don’t like pasta! I am really ready to go see Saving Mr. Banks and go on my long run! We hardly eat out, which makes me sad because I love to eat out!

  4. I love Italian food! Maybe let’s do Italian next time we go out to eat 🙂
