Wanna be a cowboy?

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

Monday- 3 miles easy pace on treadmill + 6 min abs

I needed to finish things up yesterday for today, so I did some crunches and planks while talking on the phone. Multitasking at it’s finest.

And just a reminder of why I love the treadmill, I can wear shorts inside, when it’s a blizzard outside=)

20131223-142116.jpg 20131220-161852.jpgI did some errands, got last minute things from the grocery store, and then headed to my in laws for lunch. J has been wearing his ‘cowboy boots’ everyday all day for awhile now because he wants to be like his Papa. Did I mention they’re 3 sizes too big?

Yesterday at lunch, Papa let him ride Hollis, he was a happy camper.

20131223-142042.jpgAnother wonderful thing that happened to J? We got to the register at our grocery store and they usually have suckers for kids. J asked nicely for one but the lady was all out. Another lady in front of us said she had one he could have from her secret ‘Grandma stash.’ Nicest grandma ever!

20131223-142104.jpgWe headed to my sister Leah’s house for family night with all my sisters and my parents who got in yesterday from WA state. I was in charge of bringing cookies for the kids to decorate. I brought some pre-decorated cookies for the adults.

Not sure why they look blue, they were green.

What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

Anyone racing today?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Merry Christmas Eve! Your cookies look super cute, and J is just so cute on that horse! My traditions is to open up one gift, eat an awesome lunch/dinner with family and go to mass!

  2. Merry Christmas Eve! We always go to my parents’ house for Christmas Eve, where my mom has our family over for ham sandwiches, chips, dips, cheese, crackers, and lots of dessert! We all still have a get together on Christmas day, but it’s fun to get together more than once!

Haha, not sure how you do crunched and planks while you’re on the phone, but I might have to give it a try, since these past few days have been crazy busy for me! Hope you have a wonderful holiday – I’ll be headed to Rhode Island to spend Christmas Eve with my husband’s family. Then tomorrow, we’re going to my parents’ for the holiday. Luckily, they’re only 5 minutes away! That, aside from finally decorating the tree on Christmas Eve (which has become a tradition by default) is our family tradition!

  4. Merry Christmas! We’re going to my uncle’s tonight in our silliest pajamas 🙂 It’s a tradition and so fun!

  5. Cute! J on the horse is adorable. Those cookies look fantastic! Today I need to go rent skis for the annual Christmas Day family ski day and wrap my presents! Can’t wait for new PJs tonight. I love Christmas Eve 🙂 Merry Christmas pretty friend!
