All the festivities

Merry day after Christmas!

Well, Josh did AMAZING and I got a new camera. . .

IMG_0014I’m obviously still figuring it out, ahem, cut half my head off. But I’m looking forward to learning from my talented SIL’s and maybe taking a class.

Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Donna’s for our traditional Bingo night.

20131225-202332.jpg 20131225-202350.jpgIt was a lot of fun. We slept over at my in-laws, had a devotional, and stayed up way too late. The next morning, Santa came and woke up J and his cousin. They were both stunned. (he was a fast moving Santa hence the blurriness)

20131225-202248.jpgJ got spoiled.

20131225-202318.jpg IMG_0075Most of our holidays are spent on this lovely road going back and forth to our families. I’m so grateful a lot of our family is just driving distance away and that it didn’t snow!

After dinner with my family we headed back to my SIL’s to talk to my BIL who’s on a church mission in Singapore. We took a family photo of everyone including him(Alisha’s holding the Ipad that he’s on).

I hope everyone got to spend time with family and soak it all in. Christmas is the best day of the year!!

What’s your favorite thing about Christmas day?

Did you eat too much or can you control yourself?

I cannot control myself on Christmas Eve or Day ha

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

Looks like a great day! I did ok with control yesterday but probably could’ve had a few cookies less 😉

  2. How fun! I really hope whoever I marry is from around here so that we can see both sides during the holidays and don’t have to chose. And I did pretty well controlling myself! I think I did so poorly the last couple of weeks that by the time Christmas got here I didn’t really want a lot of the goodies. Oops. Now I have to be realllllyyyy good again! 🙂

  3. How awesome that you got a camera!! That is exactly what I need…though I also would have no idea how to use it if I got one ;).

  4. I had control until dinner…. I even did great on Christmas Eve in that I didn’t drink too much OR eat too much, but at dinner last night, I ate until I was stuffed…then I had ice cream. Oops!

Yay for your new camera! That’s so exciting! If you learn some cool tricks, you’ll have to teach them to me.. I’ve had mine for about a year and still don’t know how to use it!

  6. A new toy for you!? Hooray!!!
