Monday- 5 miles on treadmill with 1% incline + Tone it up leg workout
I had a lot of catching up yesterday and I almost put off my run. Lately, I’ve been ‘too busy’ to get in a decent workout and yesterday I decided that my run would come first. I just ran until I wanted to stop, and then did a short leg workout from Tone it up found here.
I really really needed that run. I love the time running gives me with my thoughts. I have time to just think and sort through all of life’s decisions. It wasn’t a super long run but it was just what I needed.
Before my run I took the time to make a protein fruit smoothie and saved it in the fridge for after. It was a nice bonus.
Frozen blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries
Half a scoop of chocolate Slim Fast powder
one single package of strawberry greek yogurt(for extra protein and creaminess)
Later on, we had dinner and family night. Since our new family theme talked about removing our fear with faith I wanted to do a family night on faith. It was really fun to try and explain to J what that meant. I let him plant a seed and we’ll get to watch it grow(because faith is like a seed, if you plant it, then you have faith that it will grow).
Of course we had some cookies for dessert.
All in all, yesterday was a great start to a new week=)
Do you drink smoothies even in the winter?
When you train for a spring marathon and you live somewhere cold, do you do your long runs on the treadmill?
