Tuesday- 4 mile run on treadmill @ 1% incline

My running mojo is back! I was slacking last week and just went with the flow. This week I’m craving hard, fun workouts. It makes me feel too happy and it’s definitely welcomed back.

1 mile warm up

3 min at 6.2mph

4 min at 6.4mph

5 min at 6.6mph

and back down.

Yesterday we were running all over. I did my grocery shopping, and then we delivered some cookies to our neighbors. I knew if they were in the house they would make their way into my belly. I’m trying so hard this week to get back on track.

So, instead of 15 cookies I had this little parfait(Greek yogurt, frozen berries, and granola).

Every time I get the camera out J wants me to take his pic. I love it! Eating his cookie after his lunch=)

Later on, I had the girls I teach at church come over for a movie night. We watched Despicable Me 2 and I made a bunch of white chocolate popcorn(with J’s help of course).

The girls out did me with all the candy and treats they brought(J needed to be right in the middle of all ‘da gurls’). Such a fun night!

Favorite popcorn flavor?

I love the Homestyle popcorn, just enough salt but not too salty

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Not a fan of popcorn. But I do love a gooey cookie :-).
    Today’s workout for me was a 17.5km (10 mile) trail run ๐Ÿ™‚

    I love just regular popcorn no butter, but extra salt!
    Workout is a 3-5 miler sloooooow, taper week is going drive me insane!

    I like my cookies gooey on the inside and a little crunchy on the edges, picky I know. i think it’s really sweet how you had those girls over for a movie night, do you teach sunday school?

    I’m not a huge popcorn person, but I like caramel corn. Workout today was spin this morning and (maybe) yoga after work!

    Great run! I LOVE popcorn. I hadn’t had it in about a year and a half, but just a few weeks ago the craving hit hard. Since then, it seems I’ve had it at least once a week. My friend’s husband made me some on Saturday when I went to their house and it was stove top popped (I usually do air popped) and he put so many different spices on it, I couldn’t count them all. I didn’t want it to end!

  8. I love movie theater popcorn…extra butter and extra salt, please! I also love the caramel and cheese mix (called Chicago style). I like the caramel better, though ๐Ÿ˜‰ I like my cookies crunchy on the outside and gooey in the middle. Workout today – Morning: 3 mile run Evening: Zumba and strength class after!

  9. I love popcorn popped on the stove with lots of butter and salt with a big handful of dark chocolate M&M’s on the side (or mixed in)! The perfect movie snack! Glad your running mojo is back!

  13. That’s so fun that the girls you teach came over to your house! I know they love you! I have always preferred soft cookies to crunchy cookies; I think they taste so much better! Today I did 4 miles and I will do some strength later on this afternoon!

    Goodness could J be any more adorable??? Nope! I love it when little boys enjoy hanging out with girls. I think it’s the sweetest thing. Yum to white chocolate popcorn – I’ve never had that or even heard of that before! I’m not huge into popcorn but I do enjoy it occasionally and I like it in its most simple form. ๐Ÿ™‚ YAY for your running mojo!!! I need mine back ASAP!!! It’s just so dang cold!!

    • And you just ran a marathon, so it’s okay, you’re mojo can wait a little longer. You’re still killin it with your workouts and so is your bf. I love that you guys get to do that together=)
