Oh what a Day

**Discount code still good from yesterday’s post. Check it out!

Saturday- 4 miles outside with Heather

It was super warm this morning meaning it was in the 40’s!! It was also super windy and we almost blew away a couple of times. Seriously, it was out of control.

Josh had to work and since we were inside all day Friday, me and J needed to get out. We decided to stop by Subway for lunch, unfortunately, I was not loving it. Oh well, I ate it all and J loved the chips and juice box he got with his meal.

I had a gift card to Old Navy from Christmas to spend so we headed there after.  They were having a huge 75% off sale so I got 3 tops for $25, thanks mom for the card! I wish you could see the cute gold polka dots on the sweater better, oh well.

J was pooped after and fell asleep on the way home. I did some cleaning and reading some blogs and then got ready for date night. We met up with my SIL Whitney and her family for sushi! I’m not a sushi fan but everyone around me is, so I just go with it.

my boring bento box, but it was yummy!

Thanks for all the well wishes, J is feeling so much better!

are you a sushi fan? what’s your favorite roll?

have you ever ran when it’s windy? any tips besides turning around and letting the wind push you home?

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I kind of enjoy windy runs! On the way back you feel fast and on the way there I just feel like I’m getting so much air in my lungs that I feel fresh if that makes sense. And I loooove sushi 🙂 sashimi is my favorite but dragon rolls and spicy tuna rolls are pretty yummy too! And I can’t remember the name but I had a really spicy delicious one last time I went.

  2. I love sushi! I haven’t had it enough though to be able to tell you what my favorite is, but I love when there is salmon in it! I hope y’all had a fun date night! When it’s real windy, I try to duck my head down when I run to block some of the wind.

I love your little food dates with your son, so cute! I’m kind of neutral about sushi, I like it enough to eat it but it’s not my preferred meal of choice.

Those sushi pics are making me hungry! Happy Monday!

  5. haha my favorite part of a windy run is the end when the wind pushes you home! I try to have that keep me motivated 🙂 and how do you not like sushi girl!? I could eat it everyday 🙂
