About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I don’t usually make a special breakfast on Sundays, but if I do, it’s hash browns with veggies and cheese or waffles. Today, I had toast with guacamole and a side of cheesy broccoli and mushrooms. I actually do my long runs on Mondays or Thursdays…because I usually stay out too late on the weekends to do my long runs on the weekends anymore!

My long runs are Sundays. I don’t know why I chose Sundays, as those are usually really busy days for me. I do enjoy finishing the week with a nice run. My Sunday breakfast is usually at the boyfriend’s mom’s house. She makes us eggs and fruit, since I don’t eat gluten. It’s a great way to start Sundays. I usually run after breakfast and before dinner at my dad’s. Today, however, I am on a trip, so I am going to explore a new city. Hopefully I don’t get lost!!

Sunday is my long run day. I have to work most Saturdays all day but I love the Sunday, less people out and I typically have the bike path all to myself! I don’t really do a big breakfast on the weekends, sometimes we will do GF pancakes, but I am more of a Sunday dinner person. Have a great Sunday.

  5. I do my long runs on Saturdays so Sundays are complete rest days unless I have to do a short shake out run. I like to sleep in, eat a big breakfast, and not being in a rush to get to church. My go to Sunday breakfast is pancakes with eggs, fruit & sometimes bacon!

  6. When I do long runs it’s on Saturdays. I can’t wait to be able to run again. Then we’ll have to go for sure!! It will be great 🙂 Also can’t wait to get together so I can hear all about this!
