Workout

Monday- rest

I just haven’t been feeling it lately. I haven’t ran in 4 days and I’m okay with it. Sometimes when you’re burnt out it’s okay to take a break. I know it won’t last long and I’ll be back at it, but for not I’m just going with the flow(perk of not currently training for anything).

I ran some errands as usual yesterday with my little buddy. We needed to make copies of keys(for Josh’s work) and J wasted no time climbing on whatever he could find. I love how everything is so new to him still, even traffic cones ha

20140121-092913.jpgWe worked on some other things yesterday, but I still can’t share them quite yet. But I promise, it’s getting closer!!

Then Bree came over with baby M. J was all comfy cozy with him. They are so cute together, I love that he has so many cousins.

20140121-092841.jpgToday maybe I’ll run, who knows! I hope you are all having a great Tuesday.

what are you up to today?

are you the go with the flow kinda personality or more scheduled?

I’m usually more scheduled but I’m soaking in this ‘go with the flow’ lately=)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I’m giving myself an off day too, taking it nice and easy. I’m very scheduled too but I’m trying to embrace more of a go with the flow attitude 🙂

I can so relate to the burnt out feeling! 🙂
Today I ran some, cleaned and headed to work. Not too much going on here! (And trying to stay warm!!)
I am very much a scheduled person. I wish I was more go with the flow!

  3. There is nothing wrong with that ‘burnt out’ feeling! I think every runner feels that way every once in a while. Your body needs rest. I took yesterday and today off after my marathon and I go back to teaching tomorrow.

  4. I had a doctor’s appointment this morning and attempted to run beforehand…but I have bronchitis..so that turned into wheezing/suffocating 2 miles into the run. I am definitely a very scheduled person in most aspects of my life, but I also do love going with the flow!

  5. I think it’s great you are letting yourself take a break from running; sometimes we all need that! I am usually a person who really likes schedules, and I guess I still am, but I am trying to be better at just going with the flow!
