Wknd recap and the coldest run

workout

Saturday- 1 mile outside + arm workout

Sunday- rest

It looked beautiful outside on Saturday so I headed out for a run. I ran about a .5 mile out and quickly turned around. . .it was freezing! The wind was so strong and I couldn’t even breathe. So I finished with a great arm workout and called it a day ha

20140126-231049.jpgAfter burgers we went to my in-laws and played a really fun game that had us all laughing. I can’t remember the name. . .

20140126-231105.jpgSaturday Josh, J and I ran around all day(noon-8pm). We’re looking for some new furniture, and we still haven’t found the perfect piece. J was so good and patient during the long day=)

20140127-074734.jpgSunday we went to church and then J and I got down to business making brownies. It takes his job very seriously with his tool set;)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Cute little guy! I say brownies with no frosting!
And no, there’s no way I’m running outside in this inversion right now. Gross!

  2. I hear you on the cold weather- ugh! At least you got some strength in! I just flopped on the couch after my short runs in the frigid weather this weekend :p
Brownies are delicious with or without frosting…but if I was given the option, I’d take frosting =)

  3. My weekend was just as freezing – but unlike you I didn’t even attempt a run outside, so good for you!

I wimped out about the cold this weekend and hit the treadmill for a long run. I will take brownies with or without frosting, now I just really want a brownie 😉

  5. Brownies without frosting! The only time I’ve ever seen brownies with frosting is in those little packages like Little Debbies…

  6. jumpeatrun says:

I am a brownie without frosting kind of person…mmm brownies sound really good right now 🙂

  7. runsaltrun says:

Oh my goodness you look SO COLD!! I had a very cold race this weekend, but it was probably worse where you are.

And I am of the opinion that one can never have too much frosting.

  8. This weekend was 50 and sunny for both my runs! And now it’s 18 and snowing. Colorado is on crack.

  9. Shaylin says:

I love that game! It’s Telestrations, right? Cody did the same thing with running the other day.. Got all excited to run and didn’t last very long… stupid winter. Miss you!

  10. beil4 says:

I have done that with a run before as well! Sounds like a great weekend though!
I had my long run during the week and it was freezing so it put on the treadmill 😦
    Brownies with no icing!

  11. J making brownies = too adorable
