Workout

Friday- 4 miles on treadmill + leaner legs NTC workout

Sheesh, I haven’t worked out my legs in awhile and I am FEELING it! DOMS(delayed onset muscle soreness) is real and boy does it make me walk funny ha!

Wanted to do a slow run to help with the DOMS. After I did a great shoulder workout. This exercise was killer!

20140208-205131.jpgFriday night we kept it chill and watched the Olympics at home. Saturday we headed to our new house to take some measurements. J loves going over there, I’m hoping the transition is smooth for him. 20140208-205223.jpg

One of my favorites rooms in the new house is my good ol’ treadmill’s room. There’s even a door I crack open when it gets hot.  Ah, I’m getting so excited to just be in there already!

20140208-205111.jpgWe also tried to play out in the rain for a bit. It was too cold and windy, I can’t wait for Spring.

My little sister Bree came over Saturday afternoon and watched J so we could get some more errands done and to celebrate Josh’s bday. It was so nice to be out on a date, just the 2 of us. We got a couples massage, we both loved it!

After we got Johnny Rockets. It was really good. 2 hamburgers in 1 week? I’d better keep up those killer workouts. . .

It has been a wonderful productive weekend. Today we’re going to church and celebrating Josh’s bday with his family. Hope you’re having a great relaxing Sunday!

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

I’ll take all the fries and rings out there, not too picky about my deep fried carbohydrates 😉 I love the look of those Nike workouts, I usually incorporate legs into my total body strength training twice a week plus a little bit in yoga.

  2. Sweet potato fries for sure! I love those things! 🙂 That hamburger looks delicious! I’m glad you and your Hubs could have a date night. A couples massage sounds fabulous!

  3. Hooray for date night! and Happy Birthday to Josh!!
Right now I’m really into sweet potato fries. I even bought a sweet potato so that I could make my own! Maybe that’s what I’ll do today 😉
    Have a great Sunday!

  4. Couple’s massages are the best! Henri and I got one on our honeymoon this summer and it was so relaxing! Sweet potato fries and onion rings tie in my book – they are both soooo good!

  5. Sweet potato fries, most definitely!! I am in major need of a massage on my legs. These hamstrings would love it 🙂

  6. Haha I walk funny too after doing a hard leg workout. Typically the next day, I look like I’m walking with a stick shoved up my bum 😉

  7. I just did a Nike training workout today and it was a good one! 15 Cardio Killer was the name I believe and it was just that!

  8. Johnny Rockets…I totally forgot about that place!! They had one of those when I lived on the east coast in college!!

  9. Regular fries for me- but I want to try sweet potato fries since I hear they’re slightly healthier (if fries could ever be considered healthy).
Wow that shoulder move looks crazy hard! I struggle with side planks as it is, so I can’t imagine adding a weighted shoulder exercise to it.
Happy Belated Birthday to your husband!

  10. Sweet potato fries are the best! I insist on eating them after every marathon. 🙂
