Fashion: I don’t get it

Thursday- 3 miles on treadmill + abs

I took Janae’s advice and spiced up my treadmill workout with pick up’s. Mine was on a much smaller scale than hers since I’m working on strength training this winter and not building mileage. Like Janae, I would run for 45 seconds at a slightly faster pace, and then run for 45 seconds to recover.

I always love a new workout for the treadmill=)

I know a lot of you are having a snowpocalypse, but here in UT we had a sneak peak into Spring. We soaked up all we could by riding bikes, going on a walk, and enjoying being out of the house.

Then I saw this on Pinterest. . .really? I mean it does look like the most comfiest outfit ever so I won’t argue with that.  Please explain to me how this is high fashion and my yoga pants aren’t.

what are you Friday Valentine  plans?

We hate going out on V-day so it’s like every other day, but I make something shaped like a heart for dessert ha

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. I 100% agree with you on that high fashion outfit! I don’t understand how most of the outfits on runways are considered fashionable. Give me leggings & a sweatshirt and I’m happy 🙂

I honestly think that most workout clothing is very flattering and cute, I wouldn’t mind wearing it for the rest of my life. That full sweater outfit is hilarious though, I can only imagine what was going through that models mind. Poor girl.

I love wearing workout gear, so comfy and cozy!
Tonight we are staying in cooking a meal and this afternoon we are going ice skating!

  4. that outfit is freaking hilarious and so not a good fashion statement. maybe I just don’t get fashion too

  5. bahaha that’s a baaadddd outfit!! Yoga pants should totally be high fashion.
I’m going to dinner with a bunch of girls…who I don’t know! haha My friend invited me along, so hopefully it’s fun 🙂 Happy Valentine’s Day!!

  6. Pickups/strides are a great way to spice up your run for sure! Happy V-day beautiful girl!!!

  7. I’m going to bake some sort of Valentine’s treat this afternoon. Not sure what yet but whatever it is I’ll probably add a little bit of food coloring to make it pink! 🙂

  8. I don’t understand “fashion”… obviously! 🙂
Here in Flagstaff we are enjoying unseasonably warm and snow-less weather. Unfortunately we are going to pay for it in the summer when we will be worried about fires!
