Tuesday- 4 miles on treadmill(first time back in like 6 days, moving takes a lot outa ya)
Wednesday- rest(apparently that 4 miles took it out of me ha)
Thursday- 5 miles of mile repeats
A mile repeat is where you run 1 mile at a faster or goal pace. I ran 1 mile warmup, 1 mile at 8:34 pace, 1 mile at 10 pace, until I hit 5 miles, it was great and I ran 5 miles in less than 50 min for the first time in months! (and J trying on all the medals ha)
Wow, the last couple of days have been busy and by the time nap time rolls around(usually when I write my posts for the next day) I’m zonked out with little J. Sorry for the laziness and leaving you hanging. So, without further ado, I have a couple sneak peak pics of the new house. We’re not finished with any rooms yet because we’re waiting on our new carpet.
Here are a couple sneak peaks into our favorite rooms.
The family room
Before it was bright yellow, I painted it grey(mindful gray by Sherwin Williams) and we have a lot of awesome ideas for this space. Including this mantel Josh found on KSL for only $70. I painted it and we’ll be putting that and some built in’s in on either side of the fire place. I’ll make sure to show more pics as we get finished with the projects.
It has plenty of cabinet space and a pantry(our old house lacked a pantry)! The kitchen is open to the family room and now we can fit our big families in one space. Our old house was a tri level so it was hard to entertain. My project next week is painting all the cabinets white. I’ll let ya know how it goes. . .
It’s spacious, has an awesome bathroom, closet, and has a balcony. Yesterday while I was folding laundry I opened the door(there’s a screen door) so I could hear the rain. Being from WA the rain is always a comforting sound. I love the red tree blossoming too. The room was bright yellow as well. I originally wanted to paint it one of these colors, but they were too dark, so we(my sis Bree and MIL) ended up going with the same grey from the family room.
before the grey
As the house gets more put together I’ll go room by room and take pics. Thanks for being patient! Oh, and one more picture of what we’re calling, “The Tiki Room”. Right now it’s J’s toy room and he loves it ha
I feel so blessed to be in this house, I absolutely love it! Happy Friday everyone!!
