WKND recap and weekly goals

This weekend was so nice! The weather, church, and a much needed rest day made it the perfect weekend.

I haven’t been running much lately because I was painting my cabinets from morning to night ha but I’m ready to get back on track. I did get a 3 miler in on the treadmill last week, and that’s about it. It was brutal, I felt crappy because I’ve been eating crappy and not running. And yes, I wore my pj’s running because I didn’t need any more excuses not to run, so I just had to lace up my shoes and go!

This weekend Josh and I tackled our backyard. No one has lived here for a long time so there was soooo many leaves and junk back there. Now you can see the grass and I cleaned out this cute sand box. It’s still not pretty back here, but I’ve got plans.

This has been mine and J’s favorite snack lately. Love it!

We got to go to my sister Leah’s house. I usually go once a week to play with my sisters, but I haven’t been able to go in like a month! J had the biggest smile the whole time, he loves his cousins.

Sunday we went to church, had dinner with Josh’s parents, and then watched shows on Netflix(we just got streaming and it’s the best thing ever!)

Today I’m getting back on track with my goals.

Weekly Goals

1. Run 4 times this week

2. 2 Strength training days

3. Only one treat a day

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  3. My goal this week…is to get more consistent runs in again…so I am also setting a goal of running 4 times this week…fingers crossed

    My goals this week are to get lots of sleep, stretch and foam roll a TON, drink INSANE amounts of water and try to deal with the awful sunburn I got yesterday 😦

  5. Aww man, I bet you were tired from all that painting!! I don’t blame you for not running! Haha I’ve def ran in PJ’s before- whatever get’s us to not make an excuse! I like SOME yard work.

    I love doing yard work, my mom actually owns her own landscaping business so I have done a lot of yard work! Goals this week are to get in more speed sessions and more strength work.

  7. I actually like yard work! Our backyard is our project this spring and summer, too.

  8. I want to run at least 4 days a week, as well, and hopefully get back into strength training! I’m nursing a hamstring injury, so I’m hoping to feel better and to be back to my normal 2-a-days on MWF and my running schedule!
