Tuesday-rest

Yesterday I had some friends stop by to see the new house. It was so fun to chat and catch up while our kids played around us. I feel so blessed to be home with J and be able to experience the highs and lows that come with motherhood. As we chatted we laughed and had some more serious conversations. I love having friends that I can be completely open with and they with me. I think it’s so important to remember that everyone is fighting their own battle, be kind.

My house was filled with family and friends yesterday. It’s one of the reasons we bought our house, so that we could entertain and all fit in one room. A full house brings me a lot of joy. I’m one of those crazy people that want to have a lot of kids, I came from a family of 7 and love the chaos that comes with it=)

I made one of my favorite spinach, strawberry, bacon bits, and mozzarella salad. I’m pushing hard for spring(don’t worry, we had snow yesterday morning) ha. And yes, the salad is in Tupperware because I don’t have a large salad bowl.

My mom watched baby M so my sis and her husband could go on a day date. My mom was mid sentence telling me not to take her pic. She and baby M still look super cute=)

Me and J made some banana muffins because they’re our favorite. While J was stirring the dry ingredients he couldn’t help himself and he took a huge bite of baking soda and flour and then proceeded to spit it out  back into the bowl. Needless to say, we had to start over lol

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

haha, I can’t believe he tried to eat the flour and baking soda straight. That reminds me of this one time my older sister used a tablespoon of salt instead of a teaspoon of salt while baking cookies.

That salad looks amazing! When it gets to be spring and summer, I love putting strawberries in my salad with poppyseed or champagne dressing. So good.

A couple years ago at Christmas my boss bet everyone in the office that we couldn’t do the spoonful of cinnamon thing. I didn’t try it, but a lot of other people did and a couple of them almost threw up. So I’m pretty glad to have opted out. 🙂

  3. Haha that is so funny that J spit it right back out into the bowl! I want a big house so that we can entertain people one day too. I think it’s awesome you want so many kids! Ryan and I still aren’t sure how many we want. Sometimes we say two, sometimes three, and sometimes even four! Time will tell. 🙂

  4. aww hi mama sugarplumrunner!! I see the resemblance 🙂 That salad looks delicious!!

  5. Hahaha J spitting it back in the bowl!! Too precious! OMG your mama is gorgeous! You gals look a lot alike!
