Monday Thankfuls

Workout

Friday- rest

Saturday- 3 miles on treadmill + squats

Sunday-rest

I feel so bad that I left that negative blog post up for way too long. I meant to blog Friday but time got away from me. So, today I want to share everything I’m loving/grateful for.

1. All of our helpers-with all the painting and projects going on in the house we have had so much help. My in-laws, my mom, dad, sisters, and even my running buddy Heather’s husband patched a hole in our wall(long story) and helped Josh put our mantel up. I feel overwhelmed with love and support=)

My dad risking his life to paint the giant green wall. He used to be a painter for a living, so he wasn’t nervous and did an awesome job!

2. My boys-they are what make my world go round. I don’t know how I got lucky enough to be blessed with them in my life, but I’ll take it;) (even though J is not happy to be in this pic)

3. Spring! Be prepared to be over loaded with talk of Spring. It’s the best season in my opinion and I can’t wait to get started on planting flowers in my yard. Something about the winter being over and seeing new life and plants bloom give me such a sense of renewal that I love.

4. Spending time with family- We got to celebrate my MIL’s birthday this weekend. We had 2 birthday parties for her because we can and she’s that special =)

5. Running, of course- I haven’t been able to do that many miles lately, but what I do get I’m so grateful for. It’s amazing what a quick 2 or 3 miler can do for the soul.

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

  1. Your house looks fantastic! I switch off between thinking about things and zoning out on runs 🙂 I am grateful today for good friends, the Gospel and a work out yesterday that left me very sore today. All great things!!

Even your ‘negative’ posts aren’t really that negative girly… 🙂 You have tons to be thankful for and I love it! That’s awesome that he could paint your house like that! I’d be so nervous on a ladder – then add painting? No way! You and your family (all of it) are so dang cute!! Talk about spring all you want, I’m right there with ya – so amped that it’s on its way!!!

  3. Loving your house, it is looking so good!! I am thankful I am feeling 100% better today! I think a lot on my run, I wish I could zone out but it is the one time I can just focus on other things and not think about running.

  4. Looking so gorgeous! I didn’t think the post was that bad 😉 Keep it real sista girl!

I am totally ready for ALL the talk about spring! It’s supposed to snow here tomorrow and I just want to see some flowers.

Today I am thankful that I can still walk after my race yesterday after everything I’ve had going on injury wise. You’re absolutely right that running is good for the soul and I can’t wait to be back at it 100%!

  6. If I’m taking it slow on my run I’m thinking alot, but if I have to push the pace, I focus on that.
