Cheesecake and a new baby!

workout

Friday- 3 miles + NTC leg workout

Saturday-rest

Sunday-rest

How is your Monday going so far? Here in UT we are getting our Spring showers and I’m ready for them to be over! All weekend it was pretty chilly. Saturday morning I woke up to more rain and wind, so Heather and I decided to do separate runs on our treadmills…oops I fell back asleep=(

My body is more than ready to get running again, so I’m hoping my morning is starting out with a bright and early run!

Friday I babysat for my sister and of course, we ate pizza, played play doh, and ended the night with popcorn and a movie. Sound familiar? Ya if you can’t tell, I don’t like to cook on the weekend, so pizza’s are my go to. And it turns out, most kids love pizza=)

The only pic I managed to get, sorry Bree.

Saturday, I got to meet baby Ty. One of my close friends Shaylin had her sweet baby boy(5 weeks early, so he has to stay in the NICU) and we all went to see him. Seriously, he is the cutest! Mom and baby are both doing great!

My mom’s best friend from high school came down to UT to visit(they used to go on walks everyday together back in WA before my mom moved down here) and my family grew up with theirs.

All the girls went out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately, I’m not a big cheesecake fan, but it does look delicious! I had the pear salad, it was just ok.

Saturday night I spent with my boys. We went and did a little shopping at the outlets and got some dinner. Josh and I watched ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ and we both thought it was really good.

Sunday was the usual, church and family time. I couldn’t resist a pic before church. I love when they’re all dressed up=)

About Sugar Plum Runner

Welcome to the Sugar Plum Runner! I grew up in WA state, but currently reside in UT with my husband Josh, son Jackson, and 2 daughters Lily and Claire. I love running, but I have never been so inspired to run, race, and blog about it since 4 years ago after I had Jackson. I grew up playing soccer and cheered in high school. My favorite part of both sports(and yes I consider cheer leading a sport) was the conditioning. I found myself running after practice was over on my own. That's when I realized that running may be the sport I really loved.

We’re also getting a lot of rain right now and as much as it kind of bums me out it’s also making the trees in the backyard get all green and pretty. lol, when I first read your post title I thought it said cheesecake baby….. definitely have had one of those before 😉

  2. Sounds like an awesome weekend! Congrates to your friend and I am glad she and the baby are doing well. My workout today will be some yoga which is very much needed after some running this weekend. And right now we are getting rain, but we had sun all weekend!

  3. I’m loving all the rain! I can’t run again anyway (I’ll blog about it this week) so it makes me feel less bad about staying indoors to get my workouts in.
I’m not a big fan of cheesecake either!! If I get dessert there it’s the chocolate tower cake or something. It’s super good. We’ll have to get it sometime.
J all dressed up = cutest thing I’ve seen all day!

I just want to eat that big dollop of whipped cream off the top of that cheesecake! Yum! Congrats to your friend on her new baby!

We are about to get a TON of nasty rain which is just great because I have my longest runs of my training this week. Looks like I’ll be spending some time on the treadmill.
